If he tried that on a train in Boston he'd be in jail for carrying a dangerous weapon in public.

They used to have the same laws in Arizona. Now, it's quaint:

Ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side,

Since then the Deliverator has kept the gun in the glove compartment and relied, instead, on a matched set of samurai swords, which have always been his weapon of choice anyhow. The punks in Gila Highlands weren't afraid of the gun, so the Deliverator was forced to use it. But swords need no demonstrations.

Yes, we know, you people gave up your right to bear arms many years ago. Ironic considering such a place played a major role in our history.

Phoenix Arizona has light rail. Who would have guessed?

Does Sheriff Joe know about this and is he alright with it?

Are Samurai swords that common? They seem to make an appearance in news stories quite often.

Eh in most states you can carry how ever the fark long of a fixed knife you want as long as its carried openly and not concealed (although if its concealed or folding it better be less than 4 inches ) , of course I don't think I'd want to walk around with a sword hanging off my hip, sounds like a good way to get shot by a nervous trigger happy cop

You go, man, defend the Constitutional right to wield swords!

The guys down at the range in Dorchester would be interested to hear about your contentions, though.

Turn your damn phone sideways when you take video. How hard is it?

Bedstead Polisher: Are Samurai swords that common? They seem to make an appearance in news stories quite often.

The Samurai sword is the AK-47 of the knife world, anytime a reporter sees anything bigger than a kitchen knife it is a Samurai sword in their minds, last year the local paper had a pic from the local ren faire showing people waiting in line with claymores, bastard swords and even a rapier, the headline "locals show off their samurai swords at charity event"

Sheriff Joe is not happy about it, he even stated he was going to use it to transport prisoners in an effort to drive down public ridership

The same for openly carrying around a shotgun or AK-47 knockoff. Several lawyers told me it was legal but the cops might well shoot first and look up the law later.

Yes. In his mind, the lighter, the better.

On the other hand machetes are 10 bucks at Wal-Mart and don't require special training. Trashcan lid in one hand and machete in the other: advance and HACK, HACK, HACK.

"Come back here you coward!"

Don't underestimate the might of the American rail system's ability to derail trains!

/okay, so the actual "flight" part is rather short

At any given time, I would say 35% of the adult population carries them regularly in the USA. They're easy to conceal, and quite deadly with the right training. Notice how nobody knew this guy was carrying until the moment he pulled it out? That's how it usually goes around here.

I manage a Non-profit thrift store in that area, along the light rail on the shadier side of town. It truly brings out the freaks.

EVERY. DAY. I have to call 911 or the non-emergency number at least. The lady that thinks she's Jesus and attacks customers, the bum lady who is waving a tampon around her head (used) like a helicopter, the guy that overdosed on heroine and nearly died, the guy that tried to kick my ass for not letting him bring his bike in the store, the lady that pile drived into me to knock me out of the way to steal some clothes, the guy that shiat on the floor and told my employee to clean it up or go back to Africa, the bum that stole the Halloween nunchucks and tried to use them on the cops... the list goes on and on and on. This is no surprise.

Area Man is a famewhore. Every time anything happens anywhere, there's Area. It's like the asshole just follows around journalists and does shiat to get their attention. I'm sick of hearing about Area all the time. He's worse than the Kardashians.

In my state you can openly carry if its part of the process of taking the gun in for repairs, or taking the gun to a range.

I just wrap it up in blanket though, because I'm not an idiot.
