You really want to raise money for Charitable Donations in Joe Biden's name?

Really? This is like contributing bullets to Al Capone.

Joe Biden doesn't contribute to charities in his own name, for pete's sake.

Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden and his wife gave an average of $369 a year to charity during the past decade, his tax records show.
ABC News

Average American households give over $2,000 a year. (same article)

Mitt, on the other hand ..

Giving charitable giving averages 13.5% of his income, 2011 example, $4 million out of $13.7 million of income.

Joe Biden is a mentally defective creep, a slimy tentacle of the Kennedy Political Mafia and you want to raise charitable donations in his name? Because he liked a Trans-Am?

Well, I'm a Mustang guy. So, off with your heads. 'Stangs kick GM ass.

A note from Unfreakable:

I don't really look at this as a Democrat thing or a Republican thing or a political thing, I consider this an Internet thing. The same as when Fark helped send a crowbar and a Half-Life strategy manual to the scientist at the LHC that looked like Gordon Freeman in one of the publicity photos.

A lot of people are saying, "Hey, he can afford to buy his own car!" Of course he can. This isn't about helping Joe because he can't afford a car, it's about making a silly Internet meme become reality, and also to help some charities. If you really want to discuss politics, I'd ask that you go over to the politics tab; there are a lot of current stories there that you can discuss. This one is about having fun and doing something neat. If you don't want to join in, you don't have to--that's your choice. I'd just ask that you find a different thread that's more to your liking.

To all of you Farkers that have helped in any way, whether it was contributing with money, or time, or organizing any of this, or helping share the word on your Facebook wall or tweeting it--YOU FREAKING ROCK. Thank you for what you've done, and hopefully what you'll continue to do. This is awesome and everybody who has had a hand in helping to set this up or keep the momentum going is fantastic. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Why do you hate CHARITIES?

2012-10-21 11:42:46 AM
Giving money to your church =/= giving money to charity. As I recall, charity is given because the giver wants to, not because the receiver forces them to.

"All the while, Joe Biden has calmly and quietly been an incredible Vice President. He was one of the first politicians to publicly embrace gay marriage and may have been personally responsible for President Obama coming out in favor of gay marriage and the subsequent change in the Democratic Party's platform. He is also a stunningly intelligent politician who understands the nuance of foreign and domestic policy. He is also not afraid to show disdain for factually deficient arguments...."

It would be a lot nicer if you just donated to charities to begin with.

The car is going to depreciate and you won't get as much back as you did from buying it.

How many hundreds of miles are you going to drive it? How much in repairs will it need?

Me too, so here's my take: GM seems frightened to take even the slightest design or engineering risk, Ford seems to make their products deliberately difficult to work on, and Chrysler's stuff breaks in unusual ways more often than I would hope.

We get it. You don't support this idea. Yet you continue to show up and rain on everyone else's parade. Do you really have nothing better or more personally fulfilling to do with your time? Cuz that's just sad.

Maybe our next fundraiser should be to find fulfilling hobbies for people with sad, empty lives.

Irrelevant. I feel that your obsession with continuously bashing what is a good natured, heartfelt effort to help 4 great charities, just because you happen to disagree with the process, shows signs of a possible psychological problem. Get some help dude. Your obsession is not healthy.

I like how they have to simplify it down to being a "meme" because they have no real criticism about what this really is: people on the internet banding together for a single cause for once.

Sad. Pathetic. Empty. Obsessive. Seriously. Find a hobby. This is for charity. You bashing a charity fundraiser just makes you look like an ass. Act like a normal person, and ignore something if you're not interested in it and it's NOT NEGATIVELY AFFECTING YOU IN ANY WAY.
