(Indiegogo)   Subby's friend Frank got tired of searching for a golf product he wanted so he invented it himself. The fundraising campaign just went live. Help Extra Caddy raise operating capital now and you can get one by Christmas   (indiegogo.com) divider line 14

The only thing more boring than golf is reading Hemingway novels in Ben Stein's voice. I have devised a way to make golf more exciting to the general population:

PMD's Mutant League Golf

1) Gather two opposing teams of about ten players each

2) The "Defensive" team are given shields and placed around the green.

3) The "Offensive" team is given 100 golf balls, three water balloon slingshots(six players hold the slingshots, three arm and fire them, the team captain is the spotter) and are placed about 100 yards from the green

4) Points are scored by (a)getting on the green (b)getting a ball in the hole.

5) If the defensive team manages to block all the incoming rounds, they switch over to Offense.

6) The more injuries you can cause, the more fun the spectators have.

Anyway, tell your friend "Good Luck", Subby.

PacManDreaming: The only thing more boring than golf is reading Hemingway novels in Ben Stein's voice.

The dullest thing in the history of history is listening to someone else talk about their dreams. Golf is actually appealing when you compare the two. Also, golf might have some drinking involved.

Golf is a sport for closeted men in denial who want to talk about the shaft, head and balls while putting it in the "hole" all the while appearing straight; This is why so many Conservatives play it

Tell Frank that's pretty slick. I'd pitch in if it wasn't for the fact that I'm dead broke.

Spam, in my Fark? It's more likely than you think.

Here's a thought: walk and carry, the way God intended the game to be played.

Passed it along to my dad, who (unlike me) actually plays on a regular basis and has the money to chip in.

Some places don't allow that anymore. Fascists.

crotchgrabber: gonna be a slim christmas in the crotchgrabbing house this year

At least you have the crotchgrabbing thing going for you. I'll probably have a decent Christmas with the exception of no-one grabbing my crotch.

I don't even play golf, but I think this idea is the first commercially viable one I've seen on this tab. Hope he's got a patent.

As a guy who does play golf, it is a decent idea, but I don't think there's much you can patent on a velcro sleeve with a handle.

If he added some handy features (club cleaning tool, towel, something to protect the shafts of the clubs while they're in the sleeve), then it has a chance.

We have a general patent pending on the main unit and a specific patent pending on the accessories, a strap & a bag (great minds think alike) that clips in and covers the handles so they don't get wet. Accessories mostly imagined for using Extra Caddy one par three courses as your only golf club carrier.

The big problem is that even with a patent, fighting copycats can be a lengthy and expensive process. Better to be the first & the best & with a price point that is palatable.

The odd thing is that there doesn't seem to be anything quite like it out there.
