In the event of a psychotic episode I'm fairly certain it could still be blamed on, oh, I don't know...psychosis, maybe?

At a 1991 educational meeting for law enforcement agents held by the Drug Enforcement Agency San Francisco, CA, a speaker allegedly tied the number of homeless in San Francisco to the use of LSD in the 1960s and the Summer of Love.

Color me shocked that people latched onto the "Those dirty homeless hippies did it to themselves" argument.

Never had flashbacks, but for about a month after each time, I would get serious vertigo if I tilted my head to the side.

I sure as hell have. Dunno if it was a combination of things, but the world has definitely started "flowing" around me when I wasn't tripping.

Definitely this. I was once reading a book in a Denny's and realized the words were flowing around the page. Interestingly, this can be observed in something called an Embedded Figure Test, or EFT, where the eye movements of LSD users track in a slightly different way than non-users.

there is a possibility that folks who have use LSD may have also used every other lure in the tackle box. and in their younger day they may have gone fishing quite frequently. this all adds up to electric sushi.

Never had any. Brains are interesting things though. Messing with one's brain chemistry could definitely lead to unpredictable results years later.

I still think the greatest impediment to normal brain function is lack of sleep. All the scary faces of meth or coked out losers you see, not to mention the psycho homeless, all of them have one thing in common, they aren't sleeping.

this. i dont do drugs but i definitely am NOT the same person if i am sleep deprived. im far more anti-social and i have a lot of opportunities pass me by simply because i am not with it as all i am focused on is obtaining more rest as opposed to say, meeting women or something.

So you're telling me Sgt. Joe Friday was wrong when he told a zonked out hippy that LSD will cause flashback's, mental breakdowns, muscular atrophy, unwashed hair, violence, animal sacrifice, excessive eating, and the future creation of the all girl super group The Spice Girls?

I don't know what to think anymore.

Another flashback sufferer here... I almost spoke out loud "who pushed that" in reference to the bank counter I was working behind after I imagined it moving. After a very short break checking my eyes for dilation I was fine.

In another episode, I could not see at my point of visual focus although I could see perfectly in my peripheral area, almost as if I had stared at the sun. For about 20 minutes, walking around was fine, but reading and writing was almost impossible. Not really a flashback, but I have always supposed it was somehow acid/mushroom/etc related.

Congrats, you had a migraine 'headache'. Feel fortunate that you did not experience the associated pain. It also had nothing to do with having done the Lysergic.

Also, everyone, you aren't buying any acid, it's some chemical analog. Stick to the shrooms, way easier to dose correctly.

one of the things that stuck with me regarding my 'trips' was the way florescent bulbs seemed to be brighter, and louder.Almost an ethereal experience. A few months after taking my last hit, I was working and came out of the back room of the store I worked at, and the lights had the same feeling. Sure as hell felt like a flashback

yeah, migraines run in my family and i had them for a short while when i was younger.

couldn't agree more about the tabs. of the hundreds of doses, id say i had the real deal once and that was magical in comparison to the usual fare. curiously it was a white tile

Wasn't this established some time ago? Or, rather, that flashbacks were more about bad trips giving you PTSD than anything directly chemical.

Oh sure. The next thing they'll be telling us is that LSD doesn't mess up our chromosomes or make people think they can fly.

Nice try, science. I get all the information I need to know about drugs from the Partnership for a Drug Free America, thank you very much.

Well, hypothetically speaking, you certainly CAN get the real deal, but you're not going to get it on the street, in the clubs, or from that guy that comes to the party who has the great sticky weed.

It takes research, networking, and getting to know some second or third generation devotees who will trust with their sources.

/theoretically speaking, of course.

Just prefer the fungus. Not to say I didn't have fun on lsd, but it just got a little long. And the fact that it seems to render me utterly immune to weed... well.. that certainly doesn't help either.

Want a funnier, more visual trip? - Mescaline is your answer. Peyote, not San Pedro. Or if you can get ahold of the tablet-form synthetic analogue, then take that, as it bypases all the vomiting

I thought that the first rule of tripping was, don't be with people you don't trust.

The second rule of LSD? The rooftop is not a good place to be.
