Ugh... I hate having a cold. Missed everything trying to rest. At least I have 1 perfect so far (Fulham), a Liverpool win (I said it would be 2-1), and my banker is on a 2-0 Arsenal win.

2012-10-20 12:50:21 PM
Sigh...

Massive strike, lovely touch on the rebound for Norwich.

I farking saw that coming. Farking Arsenal.

F*ck

(kcostell here) Ditto. Only at +40 so far today, and this could be painful unless Arsenal gets its act together.

Arsenal with absolutley zero sense of urgency. This is stupid.

Holt and Hoolahan. The two most important players in the team if we want to win. Now that they are playing we have a chance of staying up.

Just don't resort to what Dyanmo Moscow fans did to their team.

I'm disgusted with them.

At this point I'm more worried about qualifying for the Champions League than I was last year.

Is it Arsenal not playing well or Norwich not allowing Arsenal to play? I'm seeing a lot of the later as this is NCFC's best performance on the pitch this season.

It's both, but Arsenal isn't playing very damn hard.

You're right about how good Norwich looks. But Gervinho is back to his sucky ways

Shh. Its all thanks to this sports almanac some guy in a DeLorean threw away. Though i did not count on Arsenal shiatting the bed.

Blech.

Arsenal better win the FA Cup if they want Champions League football next year because that team that I just watched isn't finishing top 4.

Best. Perforance. Of. The. Season. So. Far.

Hoolahan and Holt were the difference this game. Those two are just too important to the team to be left on the bench and this result shows it. Bring bank fortress Carrow Road

/I just hope the Coach & Horses has enough of their damn fine beer on tap as its going to get messey!!
//Had a 2-1 Arsenil win
///Plus the insurance chip

Yeah, just in middle of correcting myself. Win the Champions League. I'm an idiot and hungover and cranky.

Fark this day.

The FA Cup auto qualifies you for the group stage of the Europa League, whereas the League Cup makes you go through the 3rd round of Europa qualifying.

Big win. Fulham now sit in position for a potential return to Europe. Keep it up boys.

DC United plays their final home match tonight against Columbus. A win clinches a playoff spot and helps with the push for finishing at least 3rd. A draw means that it may end up going til the final match in Chicago. Big game!

Villa: Guzan, Vlaar, Bennett, Baker, Lowton, Ireland, El Ahmadi, Holman, Delph, Bent, Agbonlahor

COYW!

Better late than never...but every 3 points is so crucial.

It was an odd offseason, but I feel that with all the pieces in place, we could be better than last season. We moaned about our midfield being gutted (myself included), but it seems that Baird and Sidwell are a good, solid pairing. We have enough creative forward-thinking players to allow for our two central mids to lay back a bit more.

Exciting stuff. Jol seems to be solidifying this team as a perennial top-10 and possible Europa team again.

An ocean away, my favorite team is still undefeated in the EPL and firmly in first place. Here at home, the local Crew fail to make the playoffs for first time since 2007. I'd pretend to care, but the Crew wear Pittsburgh Steelers colors, and that just doesn't wash here.

2012-10-20 11:59:48 PM
Because of my insurance chip being necessary today and all my other positive point matches being cancelled out by the negatives (including my Fulham perfect being cancelled by my banker on Arsenal), the only thing I'm actually getting points for is calling a Liverpool 1 goal win.

Translation: kind of a shiatty Saturday for me.

Well, I went -30 by putting my banker chip on Arsenal, too, so I'm relieved that I'm not the only person who did not expect that result. It did seem the the lock of the week before the Guuners shiat the bed.

On the downside, it seems that teams have figured out how to lock up Arsenal's midfield enough to mitigate the attacking threat.

Even as the resident NCFC fan I didn't but i still think i out pointed everyone on that game with a big fat 0. Gotta love that insurance.
