We are continuing in this thread and when it gets "down" on the list of Politics threads I will announce the new thread it is jumping to, which will be near the top on the Politics tab. (Alternative: Drew creates a special contest thread that always sits on top. HEY DREW!)

I'll tabulate all entries on a spreadsheet (again, see below).

Rules:

- Anyone wanting to contribute one or more months of Total Fark just make a post stating so. I'll notate in on the Excel spreadsheet I'll put together.

- On the predictions, you can revise your guess AT any time. Excel will find duplicates in the tabulated LIST and toss out the old one.

- Deadline for entries is 12 midnight of the day BEFORE election day (Fark Timestamp Time).

- CLOSEST guess wins.

- in case of a tie with the same numbers, the Fark datestamped EARLIEST guess wins.
(Note: this could penalize you for revising your early guess at a later time.)

- in case of a tie which brackets the official Electoral College result
(i.e.: O: 270 R: 268, and O: 268 R: 270 with the actual result being O: 269 R: 269)
the prize will be split in half. Any odd month to go to the earliest time stamp.

- I'll occasionally post a list of entries and donations, in alphabetical order, and people can tell me if I missed any.

- I'll copy/paste the:
(1) final list of all entries onto one or more posts on the last (or official) thread,
(2) copy/paste the list of all Total Fark month donations, and who made them,
(3) divide up, between the winners, the Total Fark months if there is a tie, to each winner.

Well, not really hijacking, just borrowing for one post, and the quicky posts of anyone who wants to join. I agree it's not the best way, and I've asked the mods to create a permanent (till the election) floating thread at the top of the Politics tab. So far, no response. Perhaps you (and others) could also ask?
