Nmissi: Then a couple years ago, I tripped over mexican cokes in the store, and went, "hey, glass bottles!" Bought one, and it was like being a little kid again- cokes tasted right all of a sudden. Real sugar, who knew? I started picking them up weekly, and without even trying to, I ended up getting off the Tab habit. But it also cut my soda-drinking habit down to nice, normal levels. I have one or two bottled sodas a day, now, not half a carton of cans.

Saying you gain 5 inches of waist on Diet per 1 inch of waist on regular which even in itself is just plain as day bs.
This is completely disingenuous, this scale is logarithmic.
With a pH of 3.2, diet soda is very acidic. (As a point of reference, the pH of battery acid is 1. Water is 7.)
jaylabs: I drink 4-12 regular sodas a day, along with terribly "unhealthy" food in quantities of 4000+ calories. I do not excercise. My bloodwork came back perfectly, I have no medical issues that I'm aware of, my teeth are pearly white and my BMI is 18.5.I remain unconvinced that food can have as extreme of an impact as we're lead to believe.
