If you mean the peugeot,I doubt that that was the car with the bomb; it was more likely just one which was nearby enough to catch on fire afterwards. Given the amount of damage to the surrounding buildings, I don't think the one with the bomb would be recognizeable as a car at this point.

aside: I stood at this corner a few months ago, and just called to make sure the person I was staying with is safe. It was a very pretty little area, though the pervasive police presence made you feel like there was an underlying tension. Apparently for good reason.

You are quite ignorant about the world aren't you?

It is a dig at American fundamentalists who are cry-babying that their faith is under attack here. Dumbass. I can assure you I know more about what is going on in the world than you will ever know. Hell, you don't even know how to post comments, much less recognize a JOKE

Jews have nothing to do with this. Dont get me wrong, most ME muslims would love it if israel was wiped off the face of the earth, but this is Muslim on Christian violence and has been happening over there for a long time. I date a Lebanese girl that came to the states because of it. Those Muslims aren't good at playing nice, not even with each other. A Sunni hates shiates almost as much as he hates jews

Not religious motivation... POLITICALLY motivated.

As per article, target was a Sunni Muslim who happened to live in predominantly Christian neighborhood.

He was targetted because he headed a successful investigation that resulted in the arrest of a Syrian/Assad associated information minister, who allegedly was plotting bombings/assassinations to PROVOKE sectarian tensions (and thereby strengthen Syria's/Iran's influence in Lebanon).

To mischaracterize this as religious directed violence is to play right into the hands of the culprits.

Just sayin', it's about political power, NOT religion.

Offensive either way.

All of you atheists smirking and gloating over these Christian murders must remember that you, as well, are "infidels"; that goes for homosexuals, Marxists, Hindus, etc. etc.
