Would rather throw momma from the train.

The police were in contact with the train operator and were watching through cameras. Good job, commendations for all.

I'm happy they mentioned that he pissed his pants.

FTA: "Daivari, sitting on the train witnessing all this, got up from his seat, removed his glasses and jacket, and put Blair in a rear naked choke hold, restraining the passenger until the train's next stop."

I'm immature and know little to nothing about wrestling, so I giggled.

FTA: So, lesson learned: If you want to don't act like an idiot on a train, look around first and make sure there are no pro wrestlers on board.

What is it with certain black dudes getting on a train totally piss drunk and then getting ridiculously obnoxious and constantly making racial slurs? I've seen it numerous times on the DC Metro. What's up with that?

Yeah, that was pretty awesome but it would have been better if they put it in those terms instead of "lost control of his bladder".

Some people are angry drunks? Seen plenty of whities drunk and obnoxious on DC Metro. I may or may not have been one of them on occasion.

/ok definitely
//no racial slurs though
///just regular slurs

I love it when people take care of their own instead of calling the police
and hoping they get there in time

Yep. Or people who look at me wrong.

That's when he got in the passenger's face, saying, "I am going to kill you"

Um, not sure what state you live in Alonjar, but here in NJ, simply saying "I'm going to kill you" but not making any specific move to do so or producing a weapon does not rise to the level of deadly force. It's called "harassment". He COULD be arrested and charged for that alone, but shooting him dead? Er, no.

And folks, the police cannot be everywhere all at once. Sometimes it takes a few to get to a job. You know, physics, gravity, distance and all that pesky stuff.

In most states verbally threatening someones life is actually considered assault. Some states also have felony threatening laws.

Of course, this all assumes that you would just pull out a gun and shoot them without the situation escalating any further, which you would have to be retarded and/or psychopathic to do. Are you a retard or psychopath?

i.ytimg.com
"That's ASSAULT, brutha!"

But you're basically right that simple assault does not as a rule justify use of deadly force.

CSB coming up:

A friend of mine knew an auto mechanic. One day, an irate customer came into garage and asked for the owner. Owner came out. Customer complained about mechanic saying something inappropriate to customer's wife. Mechanic summoned. Discussion ensued. Discussion escalated into argument. The customer (a much larger man) then threatened the mechanic with severe physical harm. Mechanic reaches into coveralls, produces pistol, points it at customer, and calmly but firmly says "Not today." Irate customer pacified. No shots fired, no physical harm to anyone. No word on anyone's bladder control. Mechanic arrested. Final disposition of situation unknown.

Question: Were the mechanic's actions justified? ( Concealed Carry Permit status aside)

I'm not going to comment on that particular situation, but as someone who worked in a mechanic shop during his college years, I can definitively say that an auto shop is the very last place a customer ever wants to pick a fight. 80% of our employees were ex-cons, and not particularly bright.

I had to retrieve my gun from my vehicle one day when I was managing a rural shop because the only employee I had on duty that morning apparently snuck off and got farked up out of his mind on drugs.. he took a random electronic part off a customers vehicle and couldnt remember where to put it back (I didnt know either)... so I was in a tense situation where I had a pissed off customer who couldnt leave, and a totally belligerent employee who couldnt even form a complete sentence who I had to fire on the spot. I had absolutely no idea how he was going to react since like I said, he was out of his mind on some kind of drug, and was arguing aggressively that he "could fix it and dont you dare call the cops or our boss."

Thats the biggest problem I have with people who argue that you dont need a weapon and can talk your way out of any situation... "just give the criminal what they want!" They always mistakenly assume that said criminal is a rational, logical being. Someone on drugs does not operate logically... they are farking crazy and can do anything at any moment. Depending on the drugs they are on, they might not even flinch or care if you whack them with a wrench or whatever.

Sheltered people making assumptions about things they have no first hand experience with.

/We wont even get into the time I had two junkies/tweakers commit an armed home invasion on me....

Yeah because that would never happen in the states, or Florida, or to that Treyvon kid.

I was kinda in your court, until this.

Can I ask; Instead of a choke hold, are you saying that, at the same juncture, you would have shot this guy? Or, if not, at what point would you have brought out your gun to confront him? Or, if you wouldn't have used your gun, what method of confrontation would you have utilized?

/please answer seriously, lest you fall into one of the two categories that you bemoan in your post

There are honestly far too many variables to armchair the situation like you want me to. You should always to try to deescalate a situation prior to using lethal force. Put distance between yourself and the threat, attempt to communicate your desire to end the confrontation, if they continued to advance on me I'd probably go ahead and brandish the firearm while changing from negotiation to stating my own demands.. ie STOP, BACK UP, SIT DOWN, whatever. If they attempted to close the gap or swing at me, I'd certainly shoot at that point.. there is no other acceptable solution beyond complying or being shot once the gun is drawn.

Without being there in the situation though, you cant just sit around fantasing about what-ifs. All I said in my original statement was "this is why I carry a firearm". I want the option... and thats all a weapon is, one option. An option I'd prefer to have vs not have.

One thing I DO know for certain... I'm a 155 pound individual with a dysfunctional kidney, and I would not stand a chance at besting a 220 lb man in hand to hand combat.
