shower_in_my_socks: The only reason aircraft have lights is because they want to be seen. If a UFO wants to be seen, why the fark doesn't it just land and say hello? Or at least sky-write a message for us.
NFA: "I saw these lights and thought they looked very strange."
Eddie Ate Dynamite: I actually saw a UFO tonight! No idea what it was (unidentified), it was in the air (flying), and it was a thing(object). First time it's ever happened to me.I live in the general vicinity of RDU, so I get planes flying at fairly low altitude quite often. So when I saw this light in the sky I didn't really pay attention. Just figured it was another passenger jet flying low with its spotlight things on that light up the sides of the plane from the wings forward. So anyways, I was just looking in that general direction, not really paying much attention to it when the lights went out. So I was like wtf and then started actually paying attention. That's when this little blue dot appeared in that spot and started moving in a straight line. Looked exactly like the satellites you can spot on any given clear night.Basically looks just like a star (to the naked eye of course), only it's moving quite steadily and at a good clip across the sky. Only then this one made a turn and started to move somewhat erratically. Then the light went out and I didn't see anything else. Doesn't help that there were trees obscuring sections of my vision, and I wish I had looked more closely at the original bright yellow light.Sooo..that was pretty cool.
NFA: "I saw these lights and thought they looked very strange."Well that's irrefutable proof. Shame the UK doesn't have helicopters or do they just call them something silly like most other things. Oh look! It's a roundy-round-lilly-droop.
NFA: "Oh look! It's a roundy-round-lilly-droop.
Gyrfalcon: They are strange lights! So it must be space aliens! It couldn't POSSIBLY be anything else!!!
StoPPeRmobile: The ate half my brain and melted my middle finger. fark you disbeliever!
Unobtanium: Eh, they weren't so much "lights" as they were... blancmange
degenerate-afro: [i1.ytimg.com image 480x360]I refuse to believe there were five.
Eddie Ate Dynamite: On further reflection, it could've been a pretty awesome meteor. First it was burning up in the atmosphere (yellow glow), then it broke up and perhaps a core or something continued on in a straight line towards me. Or over me. Whatever. The thing that made me dismiss that idea immediately was the turn it made to my left. Could there have been a pocket of gas or something that changed its trajectory when it exploded or something?
Green Scorpio: degenerate-afro: [i1.ytimg.com image 480x360]I refuse to believe there were five.satisfied. plus one, subby. that headline was funny but i'm not quite sure why.
