Because People in power are Stupid: machoprogrammer: KSM is one bad mofo. The terrorist organization that he founded (I forgot the name of it) basically taught that it was ok for their members to disregard Islamic laws in order to fit in with the people they were attacking... That is why reports of the hijackers hanging out at strip clubs and drinking before the hijackings came about.

Only worse one is Hambali (who, thankfully, is also in custody). He wanted to turn all of SE Asia into an Islamic superpower... Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, etc...

Yeah, but these are really hypocritical. They weren't visiting strip clubs to "fit in" anymore than the porn stash Found on Osama Bin Laden's computer was for educational purposes.

Yes. A group of unnamed "officials" made a self serving statement off the record that could never be disproven. There are entire departments of the DOD dedicated to terrorist misinformation campaigns. Why wouldn't they say there was porn on his computer?

The idiot should have designated his terrorist targets as "militants". Apparently that works quite well.

Amos Quito: Significant details about the defendants' treatment in so-called CIA black sites have been disclosed by the government and reported in the media, including that Mohammed was subjected to 183 episodes of waterboarding.

Human rights advocates say the technique is a form of torture. US officials deny that harsh interrogations crossed the line into torture.

The defendants were also subjected to forced nudity, extreme isolation and sensory deprivation, prolonged temperature extremes, sleep deprivation, and threats made against family members, according to government documents.

Porous Horace: Oh yeah, he also feels that the SARS epidemic in Toronto was a government-manufactured thing to test out panic situations in large populations.

I dunno, I think people like my friend waste a lot of time trying to find some great conspiracy while neglecting actual important things that are happening in reality. Things they may actually be able to do something about. Perhaps it's a form of laziness.

f.ex. Did you know that Uzbekistan is using less child labour in their cottons harvests these days (partially) due to pressure from companies like Adidas? And that adults from all over the country are being conscripted to pick cotton, even doctors to the point that some clinics and hospitals close temporarily?
He probably doesn't due to being wound up about chemtrails or something.

It's all wild stories with little fact and even less science (in cases where science is applicable).

/science!

I (for one) think that September 11 should be made a national holiday.

Perhaps "Amazing Coincidences Day", or something to that effect.

Ask Dan Pearl or the 3000 in the WTC who didn't get out if it was justified... For that matter, It's getting easier and easier to consider ditches full of democrat bodies as acceptable. The Great Uniter has done a commendable job. Not since 1860 has this country been so close to sectarian violence.

I was about to answer you but...

Vectron: When I was a boy I was proud to be an American because I thought we were an especially moral people. I would hear about atrocities to our soldiers in various wars and believed American soldiers would never act like that. My picture of the GI was the guy handing out chocolate to kids in foreign lands. It grieves me to see law and morality ignored in the name of security.

Violence begats violence. To stop the cycle we need to leave their lands. Let's also stop immigration of their people.

...Vectron said it well.

No matter who "wins", if you've lost the moral high-ground, you've lost.

It was a response to the suggestion he's one bad mofo. Your link, despicable acts without question, don't erase he lived through nearly 200 waterboardings. Hannity can't endure the thought of one.

You misunderstand my "hmmm"

I was wondering if there was a correlation between the astounding number of things he has confessed to and the number of times he was tortured. It seems to me this in an unfortunate way to uncover the truth.

Well except for the Western Imperialists whom he proffered a twisted view of his faith upon vulnerable youths in order to abuse it towards political ends.

Its kinda funny, people who were one-time allies with 'Murica (Ghaddafi, Hussein, Bin Laden when he was fighting the Soviets) end up dead with the help of our government and the ones who hate us from the start get treated with most of the same protections under our own laws
