Democrats all agreed Obama sucked the first debate. Even Obama admitted as much.

Romney loses and its the moderator's fault. Vast liberal conspiracy.

Their act is so old.

According to CNN's timekeeping, Obama got 44:04 minutes of speaking time, while Romney got 40:50.

Let's focus a little more on how they used their time than how much time they got.

That is pathetic.
Romney did as well as he did in Denver. It was a consistent performance.
0bama did a heck of a lot better than he did in Denver.

Based on the debates, voters have seen two different versions of 0bama and one consistent Romney.

No one is criticizing Candy because it was a much closer debate, they criticized her because of her actions.

Romney consistently lied both times. Glad we agree on that.

More time to speak, interrupted 9x vs 28x for Romney, and got thrown a life line by the moderator toward the end...

By the way, Obama was misrepresenting it and she helped him. Romney was absolutely correct.

Funny how the right wing crowd was absolutely outraged by Joe Biden's interrupting and yet has no qualms with Mitt having to get the last word on every. single. question. During the first debate it seemed like he got the last word every single time, and during the second debate he got visibly pissed off when Crowley refused to let him do it again.

Mitt looked like he was absolutely fuming when Obama ended the night on his comment about the 47%. I honestly expected him to interrupt Obama's final statement.

MugzyBrown: While Obama said "acts of terror" in his speech, he was miles from stating the attack was an organized operation, and the administration's public stance for the first week after the attack mirrored this.

Then that's what Romney should have said. He had a clear opening here and he chose to lie and be made to look foolish.

If he had said that Obama "was miles from stating the attack was an organized operation, and the administration's public stance for the first week after the attack mirrored this", the moderator would have said nothing. Instead, he said that Obama never called it an act of terror when everyone with an internet connection can readily pull up a video of Obama saying that it was act of terror.

He could answered well, or he could have lied. He chose to lie. He just couldn't help himself.

Obama talked more because Romney was too stupid to learn about the debate format and kept whining that he wasn't allowed to have the last word a "fair" amount of the time while the moderator told him multiple time that that is not how this format works.

I guess you were away the week after the first debate when every third word out of an Obama supporter's mouth was "Jim Lehrer"

The 2nd debate was pretty much a wash, maybe a slight edge to Obama, but of course if you're an Obama supporter, you're going to think Obama killed him and Romney lied instead of realizing they both dance around the truth.

The moderator was out of line jumping on Romney. While Obama said "acts of terror" in his speech, he was miles from stating the attack was an organized operation, and the administration's public stance for the first week after the attack mirrored this.

If you're intellectually honest you would admit this.

tenpoundsofcheese: Romney did as well as he did in Denver.

I've agreed consistently, Romney was an embarrassment in Denver too. That was the most damaging aspect for Obama, he appeared passive before such a poor debater who browbeat the debate protocol.
It's also why the second debate was so damaging to Romney. He demonstrated exactly how flummoxed, petulant, and entitled he becomes when forced onto an even field, a raw new experience for the clan. By demonstrating an ability to manage Romney's poor behavior with humor, wit and greater (if not exactly great) respect for the moderator, Obama demonstrated clearly his first debate performance wasn't a failure of character. It greatly diminished its importance.
If this perspective is close, the third is going to be fireworks. Romney's best tactic is to abide by and support the debate protocol, but it's more probable his character won't permit it and he doubles-down on the alpha CEO clown suit. If he does goes Full Romney a third time the rats will stamped the exit ramps and you and your peers will go completely bugfark on the loss.
Time to stock up on popcorn.

When Obama says "I am the president of the United States." in front of Mitt I get so happy.

I think both sides are sad Mitt didn't get more time. GOP wants to hear more lies. And Dems want Romney to keep pulling out rope to hang himself with. Maybe Mitt can make a youtube video and just say a bunch of crazy stuff to make up for his lost time.

Come on, now, that's probably the least stupid thing I've ever heard him say. Obama stepped his performance in a big way. Romney did the same blustering cram-as-many-lies-as-possible-in-each-breath tactic that he used successfully in the first debate.
