The My Little Pony Killer: I think it would be hilarious to have the Secret Service investigate Romney's progeny, especially when they decide that it would be awesome to puff out their chests like Tagg decided to do.

yeah, THIS. Enjoy the Secret Service investigation, Tagg (is that even a real name, WTF?)

Tagg, baby.
He called Mitt a "liar" only because "disreputable diseased sheep fuuuker" would have been beeped out.

vernonFL: It was South Hampton in mid July
I just motored into the yacht club and my throat was dry
so I asked my personal assistant for a Perrier with lime.

In West Connecticut born and raised
On the golf course is where I spent most of my days
Chilling out, maxing and relaxing all cool
Riding my ballet horse outside of the school.
I got to be on tv, and it was great,
Till they picked on my dad in a big debate.
I wanted to fight but my mom got mad
And said "Watch it or you'll end up like your brother Bapp."

ManateeGag: if Romney got angry and took a swing at Obama during the next debate, would the secret service storm the stage?

Give the disproportionately high percentage of Mormons in the secret service, ABSOLUTELY.

I'm all for piling on Romney and his brood of blue-bloods but this seems like a bit of a tempest in a teapot. He said that watching the debate made him angry, because he obviously believes everything his dad says and so a public calling-out like that is a major diss. But he also said that he wouldn't do it; I mean he didn't even spring to his feet, fist clenched... he just had a feel and then talked about it on some radio show.

Yawn. I'm sure he'll get his proxy rage fulfilled should Romney win; we'll have a trade war with China and a hot war with Iran and Sryia to entertain him.

So... he disagreed with the President of the United States and said that the only reason he didn't punch him was because the President has a security detail which would stop him. Seriously. The only thing keeping him from punching the President was the fear that he'd be stopped by the Secret Service.

If Mitt Romney can't even raise his own son son with enough morality to respect the office of the President of the United States (the very position Romney himself is aiming for), how can anyone possibly believe that Romney will be able to garner that sort of respect out of the 99.99999999% of the world who who aren't members of his immediate family?

Imagine the outcry if Obama had a son who make this comment about wanting to hit Romney.

FTFA: "You know they are going to do everything they can to try to make my dad into someone he's not."

Who, his campaign? Because that's what they've been doing for the past 18 months or so. They just re-shook the etch-a-sketch two weeks ago.

Obama's campaign's not trying to make Romney into someone he's not, they're just trying to run against the candidate Romney was last week. If he'd settle on a platform, then I'm sure the campaign would be more than happy to run against that.

Maybe, instead of getting upset at the President for calling your dad a liar, you should... I don't know.... be upset with your dad for lying? I'm not completely certain, but I'd bet good money that if your dad would stop saying things that aren't true, the President would stop calling him out on it.

It's worth trying, anyways. Seriously, get your dad to stop saying things that aren't true, and if the President still says that he's not speaking the truth, I will apologize.

They are all good-looking, though. One of them looks like a clone of Mitt. I assume he'll be governor of somewhere in another 15-20 years.

Don't read me wrong: I'm painting Tagg as a puffed-up paper tiger, not defending him. This guy is a high-level adviser on a POTUS campaign; he knows that making empty threats/claims that belittle Obama makes for terrific conservative radio fodder. It won't cost them any votes, either, because the only ones offended are already Democrat proud. GOP voters love to see the President insulted and demeaned with violent tones.

Damn! The guy's name is really Tagg? Tagg?!?

You know, hearing this does make me go back to a curiosity I've had for a while.

Are the candidates' families (and the candidates, themselves) screened by security. Lets just say, hypothetically, that Romney was packing heat (I realize this is an utterly ridiculous concept) - but lets go with a 'manchurian candidate' type scenario. Could Romney get close enough in that situation to follow through with his plan?

Like I said, I KNOW its a ridiculous scenario - I guess I'm just curious at what point the candidates and / or their families are no longer subject to the same security rules.

The post debate gatherings on the stage place a LOT of people in very close proximity to each other so that's the primary thing that generates this curiosity. I'd never want to see it happen, of course - its just one of those things I've pondered.

On another, related note (again, I KNOW this isn't going to happen) but lets say Tagg Romney rushes down towards the stage and Obama says to his SS detail "let him go" - do they let him go? or do they protect the President over the President's own request. I mean, can Obama tell his SS detail to 'go away'? Its one of those things about the presidency I've always been curious / fascinated about. Idiotic statements like this by Tagg just make me dwell on these things - I've got a weird mind, sue me. :P

I'm still trying to get the rules straight:

If you're a Republican and call the President a liar while he is addressing Congress you're justified and a national hero.

If you're a Democrat and call the opposing Republican a liar during a debate the Democrat deserves a whacking.

Boy, these rules are complex...

Kid is uber rich now too, due to the Swiss bank felony tax evasion amnesty that his dad used to transfer millions to him in 2009 without paying any taxes on it like you would have to under the current gifting rules. When you are rich, you can threaten the President, commit crimes and not only get away with it but be rewarded at taxpayer expense, all while having the less fortunate pay for it all. Nice huh?

These are people that live in a fantasy world. People who have never struggled for anything meaningful in their lives beyond the quest for more money and power. George Romney was actually a decent guy and his offspring have been able take advantage of his hard work.
