I take them and have for years. The only reason I take them is that I notice that I feel start to feel tired all day when I don't take them.

Since once upon a time I did a lot of vitamin research here are some guidelines that apply to supplements and nutraceuticals..

If you are concerned about taking to much of a daily vitamin, take it every other day or once a month stop taking it for a week. its ok, you can do that. not everything in a pill is good for you so think about if you need it before you take it.

some good ones
fish oil = very good for your brain
Vitamin D =very good unless you get tons of sun in which case you dont need it
Fiber = if you need this you will know,

Some bad ones
iron = too much is bad for you, especially men and since you can get lots from your diet be careful taking it as a supplement, this is a good one to ask your doctor about.
Vitamin E its very good for you but too much can cause health problems so be careful with dosage
if you have cancer or are being treated for cancer be careful not to take lots of antioxidant supplements, they can help protect cells and that would include cancer cells. Once again this is a good thing to talk to a doctor about.

/Dont beleive everything you read, there are no magic pills that give you good health and dont be afraid to ask questions.

when in doubt eat more fruit and vegetables, usually the darker colored the better, a yellow peach is healthier for you than a white peach because the yellow color comes from carotenoids in the fruit which are very good for you. Most natural color in fruit comes from carotenoids.

It's hard to believe that people managed to survive before the invention of the multivitamin, or the fish oil pill, or testosterone gels, or whatever else big pharm markets down our throats.

I grew up on a cattle ranch outside of Abilene, TX. There wasn't much time in the morning for breakfast, with ropin' and ridin' to do and all, but there was always time for a big glassful of bull semen. Hot and fresh, right out of Samson's raging red cannon. Put a load of bull spurt in your palm and you can actually see individual sperm thrashing around like electrocuting tadpoles. I always thought of it as living oatmeal, the way it danced on your tongue and tickled your throat with salty aftertaste. Some mornings, they'd all get swimming in one direction and I could actually see my stomach sloshing left and right, like a wave bouncing back and forth under my skin. Sort of tickled.

Forget pharmaceuticals - they're 1 part good to 10,000 parts filler. Just go find an animal - the further you go up the food chain, the more nutritious - and force it to ejaculate into your mouth. Trust me - you'll live a lot longer sucking your cat's boner than you will eating those magic beans.
