I didn't RTFA, but I can only imagine how many damn PSYs there are going to be roving around this year.

If I go out this Halloween (I won't) or get invited to a party (not happening either) then I'd go as a zombie, Alan Partridge style, if I could afford the materials (I can't).

I thought the weeping angel was pretty neat.

Is it just me, or does that 'guyphone' fellow have a face made for punching?

R Kelly's Doo Doo Butter: I thought the weeping angel was pretty neat.

That was the only one I liked, too. The rest were lame or obvious.

I kinda liked the Gandolf/Dr. Who jedi too.
The Weeping Angel creeped me the hell out

Ecce Homo was clever. Carl Sagan is a tricky one because you have to look like the guy.

The rest were just silly. And perhaps it's just me and r/doctorwho, but I'm sick and tired of Weeping Angels costumes.

Last year I recommended a Farkette here dress up as Spaceman Spiff. I have no idea if that ever went anywhere.

They had almost lost me but suddenly, Carlton!

ShadowLAnCeR: They had almost lost me but suddenly, Carlton!

I'm pretty sure lots of people already knows it, but the guy who played Carlton was one of Michael Jackson's dancers, and the "Carlton Dance" actually requires quite some coordination to pull off.

Also, the Johnny Depp mashup costume is totally rad.

I think I might go as MITD this year....

It's not actually geeky if most people recognize what you're supposed to be.

I suspect I'll be going as the Man in Black this year, since I'm feeling too lazy to do the makeup for the Freakazoid costume.

Do you remember the old Spark article "My holloween as Internet Explorer 5?" from 1998? That article cracked me up.

I've been staffing anime conventions for more than 10 years, and PSY's look has been around for
most of that time, so its not really going to be that much of a change.

/Get off my lawn and help me find my GIGANTOR tapes, you young whipper snappers.

My daughter is going as all 11 Doctors, i.e. a TARDIS accident.

I'm probably going to be super lazy and just get one of those horse masks. Maybe I'll also get a smoking jacket to go with it.

When my kid was a little guy I wanted to dress up as some kind of monstrous killer robot and wear a headband with two levers as controls on my head. I would dress my son up as a mad scientist and have him ride on my shoulders, where he could play with the levers on my head while we walked around.

I was going to go as the guy doing the hip thrusts in the elevator.

I was going to go as Henchman 21 this year, just didn't have time to get all the crap together. Maybe next time.

/wife wants to do steampunk this year.
//I'm gonna convince her to be Dr. Mrs. The Monarch next year.

That sounds cool. My 5 year old son wants to go as Doctor number 10

This year, I think I'm going to dress up as a Sexy Brainwave-operated Wheelchair Capt. Christopher Pike.

I thought that the Carlton guy was supposed to be Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Best Mad Scientist Costume: Carl Sagan Hououin Kyouma!

I wanted to be Boba Fett this year, but instead my wife had a great idea for a couple costume.

I'm still thinking of going as Bane. If I can get the vest and figure out an affordable way to make the mask, then I'll go all the way through with it and shave my head for the costume.

Also geeky, in a sense:

Would you be my daddy?

Unfortunately, unless you're the size of an ogre I don't think you could carry me comfortably on your shoulders.

Gonna go as the Redshirt that dies in the first ten minutes on every episode of Star Trek.

Red Star Trek t shirt, black pants and shoes, with just a little fake blood and black soot to be convincing and bam!

"He's Dead Jim."

I went to a party last year as Carl Sagan. No one knew who he was and they all thought I was Steve Jobs cause of the turtle neck. This was at a major university too.

There isn't one... it's just a joke about why couple costumes are often annoying to one party involved.
