Abe Vigoda's Ghost: 2CountyFairs: Disposable Rob: KellyKellyKelly: Am I bad for laughing at the Daily Mail applying their "Get the Look" gimmick to this picture?

[i.dailymail.co.uk image 634x682]

That's awesome. I've been waiting so long for them to do that with one of their stories about down-and-out celebrities and trashier people.

Sad thing is that I think I have the shirt that guy is wearing. It might be time to update my wardrobe.

wellreadneck: Huh. A story about former glory, gradual decline, and arrested development features Corydon, once the capitol of Indiana, back in its happier days.

You know, if I had known she was in Corydon, I would have driven the half hour to go try and drink with her. I wouldn't mind just sitting back and hearing some stories.

I'm thinking if you bought her a drink, you might get more then just stories.

LOL. Wasn't there a story floating around about her flashing her tits in a bar? Maybe the first drink I bought her would need to be from the fountain of youth. She used to be cute.

Pave_the_Planet: CSS: I met Henry Winkler once at a big charity Disco. He's really nice, but incredibly shy. Also, I was wearing heels (effectively making me 6'1") and he was about boob height next to me. I always thought he was much taller than he is. Still a sweet person, though.

That being said, what the fark is the deal with this article? They used the phrase "worse for wear" at least three farking times. Find a new phrase!

/done now

He's a short man. It's more evident in his later roles, where he wasn't usually sitting on a motorcycle.

WonderMaybe that Jenny Picallo (?) chick is available, too.

Crewmannumber6: By all accounts Henry Winkler is an incredibly nice guy, and Scott Baio is an incredible tool. So things seem to be playing out according to Hoyle. Maybe the reason Ron Howard isn't rushing to help her is that she may be an incredible coont.

Dunno if you're right, but you pretty much nailed my thoughts on the subject. I don't remember much about it, but I remember hearing less-than-good things about Moran back in the late 70's-early 80's . I think the only think I ever saw her in when she wasn't 'Joanie' was when she was in an "Alien" rip-off and had her head crushed early on. Considering the MASSIVE popularity of "Happy Days", you pretty much have to work at it to do that bad.

exparrot: I love how the only possible job is on a TV show.

Yeah, perhaps if she climbed on the wagon she could actually get some sort of job that would support her. It's not like there aren't thousands of actors and musicians from 'back in the day' that have jobs now in the private sector, EMT's, dry cleaners, clothing designers, etc., you know, people that have enough self esteem that they go, "Hey, I got my 15 minutes, now I need to get a normal job and support my self/family." Some even get to 'relive' the glory days when anniversaries of their show or album roll around, or someone reboots the franchise.

Always sad to see someone that was 'famous' not be able to get over the fact that they aren't 'special' anymore and just fall apart. Seems to be a rather common affliction for 'child stars' whom I believe should be encouraged to get an education, and diversify their passion to more stable endeavors and be able to move forward instead of making a sad public disaster of themselves.

MattyFridays: Hoopy Frood: Trying? If only there was another former Happy Days cast member there with a little more pull.

I don't understand why this story has missed the bigger story that Ron Howard is a cast member and producer of Arrested Development as well. Maybe I didn't read the whole story but it seems the only mention of Howard was that he's an A-list director and it didn't list his connection to AD at all. That's the reason why Winkler and Baio are on the show to begin with, I would think.

Ron Howard is almost assuredly behind this on the down low.

Would it kill any of the former cast to buy a moderatly priced house, let her live in it, then sell it when she dies (or finds work and moves on)?

I'm sure Fonzi has $200,000 that could be used for this "business venture". Or $30,000 from each cast member?

If all you have to pay for is smokes and a few hamburgers, $65,000 could last a long time.

I know, right? It's easy for us to be generous when it doesn't actually cost anything

Back in Lake Arrowhead in Southern California, cast members own dozens of properties apiece. But that's where that damned S&L where Erin lost everything is. I doubt that she'd want to go back there.

I'd love to take your word for this, but I'm gonna need pictures of your boobs to verify the story. You may hold a Fonzie doll up next to them, but it's not necessary.
