Treygreen13: Mugato: NashMcNash: Where are we as a society that asking strangers for money is not only acceptable, but encouraged? Just yesterday, a guy I met once 2 years ago asked me to "spread the word" on his new kickstarter project that will fund his move to LA in order to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. When the fark did this become ok?

Suddenly this shiat became mainstream and the drop of blood fell into the water.

I think Kickstarter really moved it mainstream. But here on Fark I think people were emboldened by "please help my sick daughter" threads where people poured out support and encouragement. Next thing you know it's "My Aunt has cancer and we'd like to send her on vacation" and eventually "My uncle ricky is broke can you toss him a few bucks". Even the girl who faked her attack and burning of her apartment had a donation link in the thread.

Now every Farker who can make a webpage has some sort of plan to get money.

For a small donation I will stop these people.

You exploitative little shiat. You are now on the "people trying to exploit Farkers by begging them for money" list. This list is available to anyone for a $10 monthly donation to the KeepFarkHonest Foundation.

I'm sorry. I'll give everyone their money back. I have the exact amount but I can't cover the transfer fees. If you could spot me a couple bucks though....

Hey Farkmodmins, maybe we could cut down on the number of greenlit links begging for my money every day.

This looks like it'll be a fun flick. Especially if that zombie in the video keeps the blond wig... hubba hubba!

The creator of "The Book Of The Dead" from the ED trilogy is on board? I didn't know Lovecraft was raised as a zombie.
