Crap! Forgot about the NLCS at 4!

Well, I don't like the idea of the Tigers resting for a week before the World Series if they sweep. On the other hand, it would still be pretty sweet. Go Tigers, even if you don't get it done today.

Talk of A-Rod being traded to the Marlins when the season is over, if Yanks are willing to eat $80-100 million of the contract and take Heath Bell in return.

Granderson is out of the lineup, hopefully he's off the Yankees after 2013.

Maybe he'll finally say fark you to Jobu, and learn to hit the curve ball himself.

/Love Granderson
//Sorry he still has his hitting woes

The Tigers can't afford him, but I would love to see Curtis playing left field in Comerica. Can't complain about the trade from our end, but I hated seeing him go.

I was at the Jeffrey Leonard "Two-Flaps Down" game in SF. Got off work, drove 350 miles (without tickets), watched the game, got back in the car, drove 500 miles, and went back to work for eight hours at the newspaper, then 12 hours at my National Guard unit.

How did he get away with that since that was back before the Umps would warn both benches if a pitcher even looked like he was going to hit a batter.

I can only find one reference to "Two Flaps". Link

Remember, then Chronicle columnist Lowell Cohn nicknamed him "Penitentiary Face"? Leonard asked him to stop calling him that, so Cohn thereafter referred to him as "Reform-School Face". Classy guy, Cohn.

I just watched a video interview, and he was talking about his last days with Seattle and Griffey Jr. and a bunch of the Mariners talked him into doing it. He told them, "Ya know, I'm gonna get hit next time up", but he did it anyway. Ya gotta love that.

Not sure.
Would have liked to see him do that on Gibson.
