It's so amazing to me how the right wing will straight up admit that a moderator correcting Romney on the facts is being in the bag for Obama, which is a subtle way of saying Obama has the facts and Romney doesn't.

You do realize that the moderator - Candy Crowley - actually admitted that Romney was right? After the debate, when the 70 million or so people who saw the "incorrection" had already tuned out? She even tried to weasel it then, but couldn't actually justify her action.

It's only a "correction" when you're correct.

This is on top of allowing Obama to complain - incorrectly - that he was being shorted on time, and interrupting Romney continually with no basis for doing so.

Obama's pretend-justification for claiming he said the Benghazi attack was terrorism was in reference to a speech he gave about the original 9/11 attack anniversary. No, he didn't say anything like "the Benghazi attack was terrorism." On the other hand, for that whole first two weeks, his entire staff was saying it was all about that silly video. One generic reference to terrorism doesn't undo dozens of "it was the Mohammed video, dammit!"

Great now lets go to the transcripts of the rose garden:
"Of course, yesterday was already a painful day for our nation as we marked the solemn memory of the 9/11 attacks. We mourn with the families who were lost on that day. I visited the graves of troops who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan at the hallowed grounds of Arlington Cemetery, and had the opportunity to say thank you and visit some of our wounded warriors at Walter Reed. And then last night we learned the news of this attack in Benghazi.

As Americans let us never, ever forget that our freedom is only sustained because there are people who are willing to fight for it, to stand up for it, and in some cases lay down their lives for it. Our country is only as strong as the character of our people and the service of those, both civilian and military, who represent us around the globe.

No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for."

The entirety of the speech prior to this is about Benghazi (about 3/5 of the whole speech this is about 1/5 of the speech). I am curious how half a paragraph (that ends referring to the attack in Benghazi) that is separated by a paragraph and a half from "No acts of terror" in the speech dictates Obama not classifying the Benghazi attack as a terrorist act, yet 10+prior paragraphs, about Benghazi and not 9/11 some how does nothing to indicate that this is classified as an act of terror.

The short version of it is Obama did call it an act of terror that is a fact. Period. Read the transcript yourself and stop listening to talking heads from either side (here it is even a foxnews link for you Link

This is similar to how Crowley's comments have been distorted about her "saying Romney is right"
or as she has commented "People are going to look at this through the prism they look at this through. I get that." What she said is people could interpret the "No act of terrorism" part as only referring to 9/11 HOWEVER given that it was part of an address called for the attack on Benghazi and focused on Benghazi it is not a far jump to say that he considers Benghazi an act of terrorism.

This brings me to a question I want to ask.
If the attacks on the consulate were (not saying they are but IF they were) triggered by the video. Why does that make it mutually exclusive and it is no longer considered an act of terrorism?

I feel like people have lost the definition of terrorism the last few years and link it purely to attacks by Muslims directed at the west. Failing to realize that the majority of the attacks at any of the embassies/consulates on 9/11 even ones that were mobs of people (like the Egypt Embassy one). Is technically an act of terrorism. It was purely a demonstration targeted at inciting fear in a group of people to try and change something.

or as a dictionary puts it:
"the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes."

Furthermore Crowley was also correct in addressing the point in favor of Romney, that the administration did wait 2 weeks before back tracking on the video stand point.

Threads like this are what happen when people only get news from talking heads looking to spin the news one way or another. Read what people said and make up your own farking mind. This is the reason why our country has gone to shiat. It is not the Republicans. It is not the Democrats. It is everyone deciding they need to be told what to think rather than thinking on their own and coming to their own decisions.

Did these people they're polling actually watch the debate last night or the rerun of the one on Oct 2nd because I don't remember Romney "delivered the third best performance of any Republican candidate in a presidential debate in 30+ years." Of course this schmuck also said he delivered the best Republican performance two weeks ago which is laughable since I thought McCain did better, sure Mit won the first debate, but wouldn't call that the best since it's easy to win a one sided debate.

Precious Roy's Horse Dividers: Did anybody sacrifice their ears and sanity to catch Limbaugh's spin on this? I would guess he calls Crowley fat or Obama a thug.

This afternoon Mark Levin (similar deal to rush, plays on the same station here, no idea if he plays nationally) turned the rage dial all the way up to "potato".

The gist:

Obama lied and lied and lied. Like he always lies. The lies were continuous and shameful lies throughout his entire lying performance. Which as a liar like Obama only knows how to lie the lies were all we could expect. (Through half his segment it seemed every third word was 'lie' or some variant of).

Romney was strong, and honest and presidential throughout and held his own against a master liar like Obama.

Candy Crowley was in the tank for Obama, like the rest of "old media"

This debate doesn't really matter.

Oh, and Obama lied about everything so don't pay attention to anything the liar said.

The morning show on that station was a different Republican shill, who obviously missed the memo and came out and said that to be honest Obama won the debate, not by a lot but the night went to Obama. The folks calling in this morning after he said that were rather tetchy.

Do you ever get your information from factual sources, or is it Faux News propaganda all day every day like some of my other conservative friends? The speech WAS NOT about 9/11. Here's how the speech that Obama gave about the attack in Benghazi began:

"Good morning. Every day, all across the world, American diplomats and civilians work tirelessly to advance the interests and values of our nation. Often, they are away from their families. Sometimes, they brave great danger. Yesterday, four of these extraordinary Americans were killed in an attack on our diplomatic post in Benghazi."

He then talks about that specific attack for the next 2/3rds of the speech. He then ties it together with 9/11 due to the date. He then ties to the two together by mentioning the military and civilian people around the world who represent the US and risk their lives. Then he mentions terror:

"No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for. Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America. We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act."

That entire paragraph was about the Benghazi attack being an act of terror. Of course, anyone with an IQ above 80 who doesn't look at the world through a haze of right wing conspiracy derp would easily recognize this.

No.

There's maybe two hundred or so people in the country who are going to vote for R/R. Most are billionaires or hundred-millionaires, and the remaining handful are family and/or close personal friends of Romney and Ryan.

You're thinking of the forty million+ people who are going to vote against Obama. Most of them will check the box, fill in the circle, or otherwise mark their ballot in such a way as to add to Romney's total (and a handful will fill out the ballot to add to the totals of Gary Johnson, Ron Paul or that one guy in Virginia) but none of them will voting for Romney, they will be voting for Not Obama because they'd rather have the world end than Obama have a second term.
