How I know Obama won the debate last night: If you go around furiously pointing out small subsets of one poll, you lost. Every single poll shows a general Obama victory, and that CNN poll? Gave Obama a 7 point victory? Also said that was within the margin of error, so it interviewed at best 200 people. But on every issue you point out except the economy, Romney won also within the margin or error. And since the only issue you've gotten traction on in the last couple of weeks is foreign policy, and you got completely blown out of the water there, I'm thinking a slight edge on one topic in one poll doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot.

1. Most time given in debate.
2. Number of moderators who they won over and got them to show bias.
3. Least amount of times interrupted by the moderator.
4. Most "ums" and "uhs"

Today polls matter? Ok I can't keep it straight with Republicans when opinions matter

When polls over sample dems and/or use the turnout models of 2008 and they show (surprise) a dem leading, it doesn't say much.

But when they show a republican winning, then it says something.

Look at how the recent Gallup poll has Romney increasing his lead - obviously that isn't based on last night's debate, but (wait for it...wait...wait) it does tell you about the VP debate. Biden made his base happy but lost the middle.
