I'm playing my best friend this weekend. I bet him $100 I would beat him when we matched up (this was at the beginning of the season). He didn't know I had already checked week 7 and saw he had 6 of his best players on bye week.

Win.

\Roddy is the big loss for me this week, but the biggest problem I have is that DMM just HAD to wait until this week to get injured. When there's no one available that I would keep past Monday.

Meh.,..im good to go

2012-10-17 02:13:58 PM
On one of my teams, all of my running backs except Jonathan Stewart have their bye this week. And I had last waiver priority so I missed out on Felix Jones and Daryl Richardson. My running backs this week will be Stewart and Mike Goodson, aka the biggest desperation pickup of my life. I'll be shocked if I win.

/my other team is killing it though
//not that anyone cares

2012-10-17 02:14:54 PM
I'm losing Matt Ryan and LeSean McCoy this week, but replacing them with Joe Flacco and Alfred Morris. I stacked my bench early and made sure a bye week wouldn't completely kill me. So far i'm 6-0 but this week has me worried.

2012-10-17 02:19:01 PM
My starting lineup this week:

Josh Freeman
Michael Crabtree
Darius Heyward-Bey
Fred Jackson
Darren Sproles

I fully expect to set a record for least points scored in my league.

2012-10-17 02:20:22 PM
I have Bush and Matthews on bye and nothing to pick from. I'm 5-1 against the same. Not looking good.

2012-10-17 02:22:18 PM
I picked the RB from Indy and Greene from the Jets to replace McCoy and McGahee in my PPR league. I'm farked.

The Suh-Tang Clan continues it's 6-0 march behind Roethlisberger, Foster, Crabtree, Welker, Cruz, and the Blair Walsh Project.

Freeman against the Saints, Freddy against my poor Titans and Tiny Darren against Tampa should at least give you some hope of good matchups.

My starters out this week:

Ryan Mathews
Antonio Gates
Dwayne Bowe
Matt Ryan

Meh. My team is loaded and balanced

2012-10-17 02:35:35 PM
I lost Ryan Matthews to a bye and DeMarco Murray to an injury. And Marshawn Lynch is playing the 49ers on a short week and the 49ers are probably really pissed after the drubbing by the Giants.

I don't know who I am going to pick up, but it doesn't look good.

2012-10-17 02:37:18 PM
Losing Gonzalez, Prater and Rivers. Guess Finley, Legatron and Rodgers will suffice. The horror

2012-10-17 02:41:36 PM
Yeah it sucks I actually picked up Oakland's defense. I just dropped Philly's D. Now I'm on a week by week basis on D. Hopefully this guy accepts my Peyton and Heath Miller for Atlanta deal.

2012-10-17 02:42:23 PM
4 starters out for me.

My replacements:
Jamaal Charles: Doug Martin
Willis McGehee: Alex Green
Roddy White: Michael Crabtree
Dwayne Bowe: Brandon Gibson

I am totally prepared to lose this week

2012-10-17 02:44:10 PM

//so much for value-picking Cutler

That had better be Hillis and not Manning, otherwise he's taking you out into an alley and having his way with your derriere...

Nope it's Manning. I have Brady and Dalton as well. I should be ok right? One starting Qb yahoo league.

2012-10-17 02:51:34 PM
Count me among those who will not feel an ounce of pain from this week:

QB Aaron Rodgers,
RB Arian Foster
RB C.J. Spiller
WR/RB Chris Johnson
WR A.J. Green
WR Marques Colsto
TE Owen Daniels

I can also throw in Dez Bryant, Vick Ballard or Anquan over CJBUST2K

What bye week?

Eep. Just saw my opponent's lineup.

QB: D. Brees
WR1: J. Nelson
WR2: R. Wayne
RB1: M. Lynch
RB2: D. Richardson
TE: G. Olsen
W/R/T: K. Britt
K: G. Zuerlein
D/ST: Pittsburgh

IDP1: J. Freeman
IDP2: R. Allen
IDP3: C. Lofton

now I'm debating whether to start SF on the short week or go grab New England or Tennessee off the free agent pile

2012-10-17 02:53:05 PM
Planning to go to 6-1 with:

Matthew Stafford
Wes Welker
Nate Washington
Brandon Gibson
Frank Gore
Shonn Greene
Rob Gronkowski
Scott Chandler
Felix Jones
David Akers
Baltimore

pffft, yeah, I'd trade Manning AND Dalton and go grab some shmuck for my backup, and have kickass WR's/RB's instead of two QBs not named Tom Brady.

6-0 and facing the player in second place at 5-1. Lost Matt Ryan, Eric Decker, and the Atlanta defense. All my faith is now in the hands of Josh Freeman.

This week caught me unawares in one of my IDP leagues. With only six reserve spots, I have 8 starters on a bye week.
The starters are the core of my team, Jamaal Charles, Tony Gonzales, Mike Turner, Dwayne Bowe, Reggie Bush, Payton Manning, Derrick Johnson and Karlos Dansby. It's a twelve team league and the waiver pickings are mighty thin, so I am not going to give up any of them. So now I am having to decide which position scores the least amount of points--the defensive line spots, the defensive back spots or the team defense spot.

This is an NFL league, and they have that Snickers dumbass of the week award that one of the losing teams gets every week for most points left on the bench.
I was thinking I was going to be a shoo in for it this week but then I realized--I have no points left on the bench.

2012-10-17 03:23:28 PM
I'm basically tossing these week away. Between byes and bad match-ups I'm screwed.
Out on bye:
McGahee
M. Turner
Subbed in:
Woodhead
D. Avery

Out for bad match-up:
Matt Stafford (I start Chicago's defense and they're more consistent)
Schaub (benched last week? This week against the Ravens? No thanks)
Subbed in:
Josh Freeman!

2012-10-17 03:27:59 PM
I'm actually pretty set this week except for RB which I've been hurting all year

QB - Flacco or Romo
RB - MJ Drew
RB - R. Mendenhall (may scratch if it looks like he won't play)
WR - Victor Cruz
WR - Reggie Wane
TE - Rob Gronk
FX - Miles Austin
K - Lawrence Tynes
DEF - Oakland (or FA pickup on Sat. Been playing the FA game with defense this year with good success)

2012-10-17 03:32:52 PM
Meh, so I have to sit Reggie Bush and Malcolm Floyd. I'll live.

The real BYE killer was last week when DA BEARS Defense was on BYE. That was like 30 points of production gone.

2012-10-17 03:34:14 PM
I'm not looking too shabby...

QB - Brady
WR - Welker
WR - B. Lloyd
WR - Cobb
RB - Peterson
RB - Bradshaw
TE - O. Daniels (unless Graham is 100% and it's not looking like it)
W/R - Colston
K - Gostkowski
Def - Houston or Niners, can't make up my mind yet

/Trying to get to 5-2

Are you really losing much without McCoy? Not because he isn't a great RB, but because of Andy Reid.

2012-10-17 04:02:23 PM
I'm more pissed about what happened to me on Monday: Ahead by 18, my guys were done. My opponent had Gates going and didn't bother to start a RB. Not only did I lose, I lost out on high points for the week ($10). I'm now 2-4.

FML

Still dominating in both Fark leagues though.

2012-10-17 04:07:35 PM
I picked up Daryl Richardson this week at the chance he might be worth a keeper spot, should he be the future back in STL. Any Rams fans have opinions on this guy?

2012-10-17 04:12:10 PM
QB: Fitzpatrick
RB1: A. Foster
RB2: A. Morris
RB/WR: F. Jones
WR1: Harvin
WR2: Cobb (return yards count for points)
TE: J. Cook (hoping to trade for V. Davis this week)
D/ST: Patriots
K: Walsh

IDP1: J. Meyo

I really only lose Pey Pey this week while my opponent loses 5 starters. Looking hopeful to start 6-1.

I wouldn't be. Freeman's playing the Saints this week and that's a good matchup. If you're going to have Freeman as your backup, now would be the week you'd hope to use him. I actually just picked him up in one of my leagues since Matt Ryan has his bye and I figure Freeman vs. the Saints is better than Bradford and his lack of receivers vs. the Packers.

I only had 2 byes in one league. D. Thomas and Celek and none in the other. My real question is who do I start at QB in both leagues:

Scam Newton v. Dallas or Andy Dalton v. Pitt

Romo v. Carolina or Ponder v. Arizona

I had the latter 2 starting last week and both did great, overall they both have better total points and have more consistent points every week than Newton or Romo.

2012-10-17 05:01:42 PM
QB: Gabbert
QB: Flacco
RB: Foster
RB: Forte
WR: Colston
WR: Cruz
TE: Gresham
Flex: Boldin
DB: Branch
DL: C. Jones
LB: DQ. Jackson

Starters hurt or on Bye: Rivers, Locker, McGahee, Dumervil, Bigby

I'd be hesitant to start Romo until the Cowboys can get it together. They looked better this week with the running game being a focus, but you never know if Garrett goes full retard again and decides to pass 95% of the time starting in the 2nd quarter.
Any other year Romo is a no-brainer start but his offensive line is too shaky right now.

There are two guys in my league with LITERALLY their teams on bye. I just came off my own worst bye week (and still won). Got this league locked down...

I just have to figure out one WR as DeSean is on his bye:

Randall Cobb vs. St. Louis or Santana Moss vs. New York G

He's been solid for about 9+ points every week, but Alfred Morris has more points than him. So i'm not missing too much.

My other RB is Ahmad Bradshaw... who I just now found out he's sitting out practice for an injured foot. Shiiiiiiiiiiat.

2012-10-17 05:49:53 PM
Eli Manning - QB
A. Peterson - RB
T. Richerdson - RB
C Johnson - WR
L. Fitzgeral - WR
J. Gresham - TE
R. Wayne - WR/R
R.Gould - K
Bucc - Def

Matt Ryan on bye
Then i only have a bunch of backup running backs, M. Bush for the bears, Green for Green Bay, Fred JAckson for Buffalo

I need to check the waiver wire
Plan on changing my d, but looking to go 5-2 and stay in first place

I have the same two QBs, and also have CHI as my defense. I've got a few lemons on my bench, but there aren't really any good QBs available (10 team league).
