Good news everybody! There's no chance -- none -- he doesn't get reelected next year for Governor. There's an equally small chance he doesn't run for President in the 2016 cycle.

You've got some time to work on some quality fat jokes... HURRR DURR HE R A FAT doesn't cut it anymore. Make 'em count, the world is watching!

He's so fat... that everybody likes him, and there is nothing funny about him at all.

Cythraul: Just how fat is he?

He's so fat when he sits around the House, the seats are uncomfortable because they aren't designed for people of his stature. Kennedy had the same issue.

2012-10-17 10:10:01 AM
Honest answer:

He's so fat that he takes a helicopter to a Little League game, and needs a limo to get him from the copter to the stands.

He should be worried about his health. Personal animosity aside, he needs to address it. For his own sake and the sake of his family.

In match-ups with potential Democratic challengers, Christie holds a 46 to 42 percent advantage over Newark Mayor Cory Booker and tops State Senator Richard Codey 47 to 41 percent, the poll found.

I don't know about you, but holding a 46-42 advantage one year out from the election against a mayor doesn't exactly scream strength.

And, also, I want to point out that Richard Codey isn't just a State Senator, he was the 53 governor of New Jersey.

2012-10-17 10:20:12 AM
I kind of hope he does because the pissing matches he gets into with my governor are pretty funny.

Against a mayor who hasn't officially declared his candidacy, no less.

Can you imagine the hilarity if David Paterson was still NY Gov?

I also wanted to note that Richard Codey, as governor, left office with a 68% approval rating.

Diogenes: Can you imagine the hilarity if David Paterson was still NY Gov?

Paterson was actually okay, and I say this as one of New York's very last cheap-ass right-wing off-my-lawn grouches. When he took over I figured he was just a Harlem Democratic machine legacy hack who stumbled into the gig thanks to Spitzer picking him as lieutenant governor as a pander to black voters. Not that Paterson didn't do some dumbassed and possibly corrupt things, but as NYC Democrats go he wasn't half bad. He actually understood there was a New York north of Westchester.

The one trick of Paterson's that proved most valuable was sticking his entire state budget into the continuing resolutions the leglsiature would pass to pay a few weeks' worth of bills when they'd inevitably run late (REALLY late) passing the budget because of the usual party-political dick-measuring maneuvers. Paterson's move got the legislature bosses to shiat and get off the pot right quick. So good for Paterson on that one, and Cuomo has used the tool well in his negotiations with Shelly Silver and the rest of the legislative vermin.

Anyway, good for Christie. He may not be your cup of tea - but if you think that Goldman Sachs crook Corzine was better, that says more about your party line kneejerk political beliefs than anything else.

You went much deeper than I. I really was just talking about the contrast in personalities, and the usual NY/NJ rivalry. And how SNL likes to toy with that.

Corzine? Puh-lease. You may be surprised to learn I did pro-bono work for both Kean and Whitman on the NJ Governor's School program. Met both of them. Voted for both of them. Occasionally, NJ turns out some good Republicans.

Christie really will have an uphill battle for the presidency. Taft, for a very pertinent example, didn't live in the era of 24-hour TV news (or... of TV news for that matter). My own opinions of Christie's policies aside, in modern political races style is rewarded over substance, and, well...

So fat, if Christie encountered the point-of-no-return of a black hole's event horizon, you would hear a voice inside the black hole screaming: "ONE AT A TIME!!! ONE AT A F*CKING TIME!!!"

Chris Christie: The reason Republicans want Mittens to lose this year.

Should be able to win the Republican't nomination in 4 years. If Mittens wins, I wonder if he'll get a primary challenge like Carter. Romney will probably be as bad a president as Carter, GW Bush, and Fartbongo, and I think even Republicans will be sick of his nonsense in 4 years.

2012-10-18 01:37:18 AM
Honestly, I don't know enough about him since I ignore the local news when they start talking about either Jersey or CT cuz I'm a buttmunch like that, but I've seen a few stories in the paper about him breaking from prior convictions and/or GOP party line to change positions in a more liberal way, which in my mind makes him less of dickhead than most Republicans, since he seems to put his opinion of what's best for Jersey ahead of strict ideology.

I'd vote for him for president if he got rid of farking jughandles, though. I don't find them inconvenient when I visit Jersey, hell they make driving a hell of a lot easier. The problem is that it's only people with Jersey plates I see ever stop in the middle of an intersection and block traffic for a cycle because the light turned red while they were waiting to make a left-hand turn, like they lack the experience to know it's okay to go when the light turns red. I'm sure it's a retarded minority but still.
