I hope some form of trust was set up so those kids can afford the squadron of shock-troop psychiatrists, psychologists and counselors they're going to be needing for the next eight Olympics or so.

Especially when Kate transitions to the NEXT step in her career: "Ok, ten bucks, but you have to PROMISE not to finish in my mouth" and then "Yes, I'll wear that burning tire around my neck, as long as you're filming it."

One of the older twins, Maddie, seems to be the only one of the lot with an actual functioning personality. She's full of piss and vinegar and will give mom's shiat right back to her. Unfortunately, she came off looking like a brat on tv. I believe the reality is closer to her using her spunk as a survival mechanism to keep from having her soul devoured by that wretched she-beast.

Back in 2009, when she was eight, there were several I HATE MADDIE GOSSELIN groups on Facebook. Eight years old, dude. My soul died a bit for that poor little girl when I heard that. And dad will do things like take the other twin on a skiing vacation by themselves. The other twin, but not Maddie. That poor little girl. I hate her parents for doing this to her.

Her actions today are easily explained by what she used to do for a living.

Nurses for some reason have a serious complex issue. They think that because they perform most of their tasks based on the instruction of someone else, that they suddenly run things, and if it weren't for them, hospitals would shut down en masse. Imagine what the world would be like if your order taker at McDonalds had the same complex.

It's interesting that she has no idea of her place on this planet. "Celebrity" indeed.

I think we need to come up with another term - NOT "celebrity" - to denote people who have had a TV show (or media exposure) - and not "infamous" or "famous" - but are in no way a "celebrity".

So let's reply with, nurses have the know-how with what to inject which patients with which drug with how much dosage right? That's also why nurses are allowed to consult with patients with results of labwork done? Nurses seem to think that they are irreplaceable, yet fail to realize that pretty much anybody can get into college to take the courses needed to be a certified nurse. A RN needs what? 2 years of college? Plumbers go to school for longer than that. It's not the nurses that keep healthcare high, it's the one giving them direction on how to deal with patients.

Nurses absolutely are needed in a hospital, just like McDonalds need order takers. Like I said, imagine what the world would be like if fast food employees, servers or anybody else who deals with the public regularly acted like nurses do on a regular basis.

Nurses for some reason have a serious complex issue. They think that because they perform most of their tasks based on the instruction of someone else, that they suddenly run things, and if it weren't for them, hospitals would shut down en masse. Imagine what the world would be like if your order taker at McDonalds had the same complex.

I don't even know where to start with how wrong almost everything you just said was.

Let's start with, yes. They would. Or they'd be run like hospitals in underdeveloped areas where you need to bring family members with you to provide basic care, and if you are prescribed medecine your family needs to fetch it for you. And if you have no family, so sad, too bad.

/not a nurse

I will be attaching this post to your chart the next time you find yourself in the hospital. Have fun with the enemas.

You have obviously never been a part of childbirth. Doctors don't do much of anything...Also, don't go on about nursing school. Med school is nothing but memorize and purge. Having an MD is not some great accomplishment. In my experience, the average general practitioner (those who didn't continue on to specialize in something) is a bit of dolt and completely useless other than their ability to write a prescription.

I may need to be corrected on this, but from what was said before by California law the kids had to be paid separate for being on the show and the majority of that money had to be put in a trust for them that the parents couldn't get at.

And yeah she did spend all of her money on plastic surgery and white wine a while ago. One of her advisers ended up quitting and said that she would be broke in a year because she was spending money like crazy because she thought she was on the cusp of stardom and more money was coming in.

Interesting to think that they had the foresight to do such a thing.

The problem is that were also staring down a decade of this twunt doing whatever she sees fit which could very well involve trying to get her hands on that money for the "common good" of the kids. If she can't afford a roof or food for the kids it makes a pretty persuasive argument to tap into some of that capital.

The hard part is that it's plausible to think that at one point she was perfectly capable of maybe just squeaking by. There's always the potential to return to that, but it just seems unlikely.

I believe that this is a recent dvelopment in the world of Hollywood child stardom. It came about after several well publicized cases where child stars had to divorce and sue their parents for blowing through the kid's entire bank account.

Clever riposte, but, no. Nurses aren't actually like this. Oh, I suppose there might be one or two, but to yammer idiotically about how This Is How All Nurses Are is ridiculous.

Yes, there are often patient instructions from doctors, but the nurses carrying them out are skilled workers who are doing a job, and doctors rely upon them to do it well. It is precisely because of their training that they are able to interpret and correctly follow whatever care instructions a doctor has left - or to know what to do in emergencies, when there is no doctor around. You know... when they have to "run things."

There's also a much larger array of nursing out there than you, rather obviously, have any idea of. Many nurses aren't working the floors in hospitals, but are basically functioning about the same as doctors - Nurse practitioners, Clinical nurse specialists, home health nurses...

Also, you apparently believe it's possible to run a hospital without nurses. I'd love to see you try it for a day or two.

Anyway, so... did a nurse touch you in your private area when you were young, or what? Because that was a pretty out-of-left-field and entirely fact-free attack on nurses, who at the end of the day are just people doing a job.

And I tend to get touchy when people get jerkish about how nurses are just drones who don't know how to do anything, because my mom was a nurse for many years, and then she taught nursing for about 13 years. As an ICU nurse working the overnight shift, she and her colleagues pretty much functioned as doctors all the damn time - whenever there was a code, basically.

I suppose almost anyone's job looks easy to someone who doesn't know how to do it. But not knowing doesn't give that jerk any reason to act like that.
