gameshowhost: In before morons claiming that the kid is faking the allergy.

Well, I guess you have to ask if it was an allergy, or an allergy-allergy. I mean, in the case of legitimate allergy the body has a way of shutting down to prevent intake of more of the allergen.

Jamieboy: They all give me headaches and I avoid scented products when at all possible. Even my deodorant, soap, shampoo, laundry detergent is unscented.

I head assploded.

Jon iz teh kewl: mooseyfate: Jon iz teh kewl: i'm actually gonna side with the teacher on this one. cause she looks like she's being gay for attention

You try entirely too hard to be edgy and offensive. I suppose that's why no-one responds to your mind-numbingly stupid posts, half of Fark must have you on ignore by now. You're like Sarah Silverman without the looks, star-farking career, and talent. And considering she has no talent what-so-ever, that puts you in a pretty pathetic place. Quit trying so hard and you might actually come off as funny some day. Maybe. Probaby not, though.

/cue overly sarcastic attempt at witty comeback...

u don't think she has the sunken eyes "bullied" look?

cause i would have just blown out the candle and told the teacher straight up it was making my face expand, etc..

oh but it wasn't
it just smelled
and she smelled it
and it reminded her of whatt

gay

it reminded her of how it feels to be gay.

Case in point. You're not funny. You're not clever. You're not even good at trolling, which on this site is like shooting fish in a barrel. Give up and create a new alt.

plewis: What the hell with that teacher? Then again, that girl should just have spined up and said "I'm not farking going to that class."

My kid has a peanut allergy and it's nothing to fark with. You don't "get used to it."

Is he also on the "autism spectrum"? Or an "aspie"?

octopied: FuturePastNow: We really need to just let natural selection take care of people who have allergies to common food products.

Cute.

100+ years ago, people frequently died from bad illnesses as well. And lack of running water and adequate waste facilities. And childbirth. My sister in law just had an emergency c section monday due to labor not progressing as the baby's head was turned. 100 years ago, it's unlikely either would have survived. 100 years ago, children often didn't live to adulthood.

In legitimate cases, when the Earth feels like it's being overpopulated, it has a way to shut that whole thing down...

The fact the candle had been burning means the room was contaminated with nut oil,

Met a girl in a bar. Asked if she had any food allergies. She smiled and said, "why, are going to take me me out to dinner?" "No" I replied, "but you may come in contact with some nut."

hyphenating the name seems a bit odd; in this case they should have just merged the two.

You mean Baldnguyen??

manimal2878: I thought so at first, but she may not have been aware that she couldn't burn the candle even when the student wasn't in the room. It doesn't seem she ever had it burning while the student was in the room and not being an allergist she probably didn't know it left nut oils all over.

Tell me about it. Leaving nut oil all over a classroom has gotten me in trouble with teenage girls in the past.

I have a serious question.

Back when I was in school, (80's and early 90's) I knew of one girl allergic to shellfish. That was it.

Now that I have a son in Kindergarten, 4 kids in his class of 21 are allergic to nuts and 2 cannot have gluten, soy, dairy, or nuts. What is with the allergic action reaction?

baufan2005: I guess bullied is the new key word. Everyone wants to think that if they have their feelings hurt now and days it's bullying.

If the teacher had ordered the candle online, it would be a clear-cut case of Cyberbullying.
