SlothB77: Here's my advice and it isn't biased:

Don't vote until election day. Between now and then, more information may come out about one or both of the candidates that may influence your vote. Give the candidates up until election day to get that message out. Wait until after all the debates. Wait until all of the October surprises are revealed. Do your best efforts to wait to vote on election day. If you vote early and then something happens that causes you to want to change your vote, you won't be able to.

Ordinarily you would be correct, but in this race, Obama could be caught snorting coke off a dead baby and he'd STILL be a better candidate than Romney.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected a last-gasp appeal by Ohio Republicans.......to commit election fraud.

Just returned from voting. Straight Dem ticket (even the judges.)

The Reps. are so personally odious to me that I just couldn't wait.

Now I can spend my Election Day driving the carless to the polls, as always (and no, I never EVER ask them how they vote [although they have been known to volunteer that information].

cameroncrazy1984: sabreWulf07: Voting early simply makes things easier on corrupt Republican election officials (see: OH, FL). Instead of having to massage the numbers after pushing all the results to an "off-site backup facility" for a "routine test" in the middle of election night, they can simply stuff all those early ballots down a storm drain and come out ahead -- since its Dems that overwhelmingly vote early.

Explain why that didn't happen in 2008?

If you're going to fudge the results of an election, you must be within the margin of error to win. Too much of a variance with the exit polls (see: Ohio, 2004) and it starts to raise eyebrows. Obama won in an effective landslide in 2008, there simply weren't enough votes to convincingly cheat.

And why Republicans are fighting so hard to remove it?

The elimination of early voting strongly favors Republicans. The more people they can prevent from voting the better chance of winning their candidates have. It really is that simple.

Just two elections ago there were some poll lines in which voters waited more than 10 hours. In the rain. In freaking November in Ohio (so, think cold). Some voters left disappointed without being able to vote. Also Bush won by a small margin.

Then Ohio allowed early voting and that was no longer an issue. Also Obama won.

But no, you're totes right. Everyone should all vote at the same time. That won't create any problems.

Biness: I think I speak for ALL americans when i say that Ohio totally sucks dick and is the least qualified state to pick the president. Also, they didn't invent the airplane. the are not first in flight.

Speak for yourself. I happen to believe that Ohioans are very attractive people whose intelligence is eclipsed only by their moral virtue. I also heard that male Ohioans have larger penises on average than the rest of America.

The fact that this made it all the way to the Supreme Court should have turned the Founding Fathers' graves into generators by now.
