Yeah. Forgot to add after retirement.

you got me

Not even then. My mom retired from the same union that I'm in and they don't touch her pension or healthcare. It's managed by a third party.

I have noticed that the people who hate unions the most don't actually know anything at all about them.

A family member was trying to convince me we need to reduce the taxes the rich pay to nil, because they will reinvest. Yeah sure, not here, history tells us that. Something about they won't be happy until it happens so it needs to be done, the rest of us don't pay enough... Oh and more patients is going to make all doctors retire, it doesn't create jobs, you know the complete opposite of supply and demand. Keep in mind the guy isn't rich, not even close. I don't get it. I give up.

You should have ask him this.
If the owner of a company doesn't have any increased demand on the goods or services he supply, will he expand or hire anymore people?

Of course the answer for anybody with half a brain is no. And this is the reason why giving tax breaks to the rich doesn't lead to trickle down. Unless expansion will lead to more money for them, they won't do it.

However if you give tax breaks to the middle class, they will spend that money causing an increase in demand on goods and services which will cause business owners to increase staff and demand. That is another reason why during the recession their should have been more government hiring for things like teachers, cops, firemen, and infrastructure projects. Because putting money in the hands of the middle class is what leads to economic growth.

I touched on the point that in regards to taxation that not everyone has the role of tax payer. Consumers have a role too, buying stuff which makes the rich, well richer. Not everyone can be rich but we can all buy junk! But then he started swearing in front of our kids about the broken government... That was that,.

Ahh. He pulled the old "I'm going to yell, curse and talk over you until the point you stop arguing" strategy to "win" the debate"

This seems to be the only way these types of people think they can win.

So vote for the guy that will dwarf that wasteful green energy spending with useless military spending.

Useless military spending? Like protecting our Ambassadors in foreign lands?

do you see the slaying of U.S. ambassadors as some kind of international fad that's on the rise?
I really don't care for politicizing the death of Stevens it makes people look desperate.

It's not so much that he supports the opposition. It's more that he supports anti-Americanism. As has been demonstrated numerous times before, the Republicanist Party holds anti-Americanism as one of its core principles. Additionally, why would somebody choose to vote for a "conservative" seeing as there has never, in the history of mankind, been a successful conservative civilization? Why would you vote for something that you know is a) anti-American and b) guaranteed to fail? Is it just team mentality? Is it a mental disorder? Should these anti-Americans be allowed to participate in our society? Or should we treat them as enemies of the American public?

It's fun when you can use the bad effects of your own causes as reasons to blame the only potential roadblock in your way, so then the people they actually affect will destroy the only thing protecting them from you... for you...
