Zeb Hesselgresser: I'm hopeful that Mittens will learn from our prior Presidents' mistakes. The current guy thinks he's doing a good job, that I cannot abide.

Yeah, I can see why you can't abide a Democrat actually doing a good job. Shatters your entire worldview.

unexplained bacon: Cletus C.: Doc Lee: Cletus C.: He supports the opposition.

Stalin would be proud.

It's not so much that he supports the opposition. It's more that he supports anti-Americanism. As has been demonstrated numerous times before, the Republicanist Party holds anti-Americanism as one of its core principles. Additionally, why would somebody choose to vote for a "conservative" seeing as there has never, in the history of mankind, been a successful conservative civilization? Why would you vote for something that you know is a) anti-American and b) guaranteed to fail? Is it just team mentality? Is it a mental disorder? Should these anti-Americans be allowed to participate in our society? Or should we treat them as enemies of the American public?

This country shall be healed with hate and derision. That's the proven formula for a successful civilization.

really? well, I just happen to have hope in my pocket. See if you can fish some out for ya.

if you could think of one reason to believe Mitt would be any different than Bush II you would have said so.
you support a guy with a plan to make a plan, and more flip flops than a trailer park, but hey you got hope.

Mitt will fark up as bad or worse than Bush. Bet you loved Bush in 04 too....admit it.

A family member was trying to convince me we need to reduce the taxes the rich pay to nil, because they will reinvest. Yeah sure, not here, history tells us that. Something about they won't be happy until it happens so it needs to be done, the rest of us don't pay enough... So vote for the guy that will dwarf that wasteful green energy spending with useless military spending.

Useless military spending? Like protecting our Ambassadors in foreign lands?

Of course that's not useless, which is why Republicans voted to decrease spending on that. Useless spending is no-bid contracts for campaign contributors to build very expensive equipment the Pentagon does not want.

Allocation of resources was a Republican function? The Barbados Consulate had/has Marine protection, but the Republicans left Benghazi defenseless? Really?

Nope, but Republicans only cared about consulate protection after there was an attack and only so they could blame Obama for it. It's the same way the GOP only started to care about deficit spending when W was out of office and how they try their darnedest to blame 100% of it on the current president.

What the GOP lacks in morals and ethics they make up for in hypocrisy.

You should have ask him this.
If the owner of a company doesn't have any increased demand on the goods or services he supply, will he expand or hire anymore people?

Of course the answer for anybody with half a brain is no. And this is the reason why giving tax breaks to the rich doesn't lead to trickle down. Unless expansion will lead to more money for them, they won't do it.

However if you give tax breaks to the middle class, they will spend that money causing an increase in demand on goods and services which will cause business owners to increase staff and demand. That is another reason why during the recession their should have been more government hiring for things like teachers, cops, firemen, and infrastructure projects. Because putting money in the hands of the middle class is what leads to economic growth.

THIS ^^^^

8 ambassadors have died (at least that i have found on the wiki)

1950 Truman, Laurence A. Steinhardt (plane crash)
1968 LBJ, John Gordon Mein (murdered)
1973 Nixon you dolt, Cleo A. Noel, Jr. (murdered)
1974 Ford, Rodger Davies (murdered)
1976 Ford, Francis E. Meloy, Jr. (murdured)
1979 Carter, Adolph Dubs (murdered)
1988 Reagan, Arnold L. Raphel (plane crash)
2012 Obama, J. Christopher Stevens (murdered)

but the most recent one means something, more so than any other death that has ever occurred, even more that the deaths that occurred when we sent our men and women to invade a country that had nothing to do with terrorist attacks on our own soil.

I did not know there was a New Democrat party? When was it formed? Who is the party chairman? Did they have a convention? Did they nominate a candidate for the Presidency? If so, what states were they able to gather enough signatures to be put on the ballot? Is he going to debate the other third party candidates from the Green Party, Constitution Party, Reform Party, Libertarian Party, etc?

How could there have been a political party called the New Democrat party without me knowing about it? I follow political news quite closely.
