Holy crap, that old guy is still kicking?

And he's still wrong?

Bless his heart.

Didn't read TFA because of the stupid registering crap; however, if subby's headline isn't misleading I find it odd that Perot endorsed a man that was activities doing what he claimed would destroy our economy when he ran for president.....like outsourcing American jobs.

Came here to say exactly this. No credible plan to pay off the debt and he is a pioneer in out-sourcing.

I voted for Ross in '92.
He heard that sucking sound.

Presumably Perot has stopped giving a fark. It's kind of understandable. I mean, it's almost revenge for not electing him to be the POTUS.

Yes, who better to spread Mitt's message of....um....tax cuts...and...anyway, who better to spread the gospel than Mister "You People" himself!

That's because...

EyeballKid: BREAKING NEWS: Rich, out of touch men are rich, out of touch.

At a certain level of wealth you have to distrust all rich people equally*--and doubly so if said rich people are running for office. You don't reach that level of wealth by caring about anyone other than yourself. A Romney Presidency would directly benefit Perot and people like Perot. And that's all the motivation you need.

/* - A "windfall waiver" can be granted for people who came about their wealth through entertainment, sports, and the like.

Someone recently was nice enough to buy me a month of TF, after seeing the way funnier and snarkier headlines that don't go green when this piece of crap headline and article gets green lit, I'm glad that I didn't waste my money and won't be renewing that TF anytime soon

So much fail in these 2 posts.

His famous line, while rich, was "Trickle down economics just didn't trickle." He predicted a lot of the problems we currently have.

But hey, give the righties on Fark some ammunition to attack you idiots.

TF is more about the circlejerk of TF only threads. The paywall does a decent job of filtering out the farkwits. Drew is also great about keeping the pedophiles and rapists off the website.

settle down fella

I voted for the guy, his NAFTA stance being the main factor for me...forgot that he was right about supply-side econ too. That was a while ago.

the "that's it" part was suppose to show my disapproval for his support of Mitt. I'm sure I can handle any weak ass righty attack about me implying through omission that trickle down econ is good policy.

thanks for your concern.

"Economic growth is insufficient to create enough jobs for a country whose population is growing. The result is unemployment stuck over 8 percent for every single month of Barack Obama's presidency. (Oval note: the jobless rate dipped to 7.8% last month.)

Being a snooty old coont does tend to age you.

"I can't say it, but it rhymes with rich." (On her opinion of Democratic vice-presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro

"But why should we hear about body bags and deaths, and how many, what day it's gonna happen, and how many this or that or what do you suppose? Or, I mean, it's not relevant. So, why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that, and watch him suffer?"

"What I'm hearing, which is sort of scary, is they [the Hurricane Katrina refugees in the Houston Astrodome] all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is so overwhelmed by the hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this is working very well for them."

It's pretty clear that despite the media and pollster's best efforts, Obama is winning. There's pretty much nothing mittens can do to pull a win out, unless Obama completely folds in the next two debates AND the economy shiats the bed before Nov 6. Considering the last debate is the foreign policy debate, that's not going to happen. Romney has been a foreign policy disaster the entire campaign.

The NRA endorsing Romney and doomsaying over term 2 Obama makes absolute sense. They're primarily in the business of advancing the consumer gun industry in America. You'll see a nationwide gun shortage on Nov 7 - Jan 20, at which point people might, might realize they've been swindled.

I don't think so. All the dumbass gun nuts fell for it hook line and sinker last time. They have done nothing to show that they won't be fooled again.

Ross Perot said trickle down economics doesn't work. Do you agree with this statement?

Romney is for trickle down economics, and it's basically his main driver. Agree?

They are on record having different stances on tricke down economics. So, WHY is Perot FOR Romney? Perot is not a dumb man.

It can't be because Romney is doing something right. Could it possibly be that Obama is doing something SO WRONG in Perot's eyes that he had to contradict himself and go Romney?

And please don't say "duh he's rich, of course he's going to support Republicans!" He stole Republican votes in the 1992 election, and he was famously AGAINST trickle down economics.

I'm just saying to keep an open mind about it. You don't have to dogpile someone who says something slightly pro-Republican.

You're working on the assumption that I think Obama is doing something right. I don't. I dogpile on republicans (and democrats for that matter) because I am an anti-capitalist.

I'm sorry, but I'm not seeing it. Perot calls out the deep military cuts that will occur if Congress doesn't get its sh*t together, but that's not Obama, that's congress. He mentions the high unemployment, but unemployment has been trending downwards for some time now. He says we've "squandered opportunities" but he doesn't say what those are or what we should have done. The only actual endorsement he gives for Romney is that he "successfully balanced Mass. budget without raising taxes," but I'm given to understand that he did it by raising fees instead - which is a wonderfully regressive form of taxation - and that he left Mass with a 33% approval rating.

So, I'm sorry, I just don't see any logical reasoning behind his endorsement. I really expected better of Perot (I really did - I liked him when I was a child)
