Lionel Mandrake: Oh, "waitress moms." Is this the crucial made-up demographic/lazy reporter shorthand for 2012?

Waitress Moms = Too old to dance topless in a strip club.

Gotta love Romney's new slogan, "The CLEAR Choice."

He's beyond white now.

Eatin' Queer Fetuses for Jesus: I have a single waitress-mom from Colorado Springs on my Facebook supporting Romney. She just popped out a bastard fetus on Medicaid, too. Oh and she also had sex with a mechanic just to get her car fixed for free, and bragged to me about it.

The common clay of the new West.

dahmers love zombie: Could someone please give me a couple of reasons why a woman would vote for Romney rather than Obama? I understand that religious women often vote against their own interests, and the few super-rich women (or wives of billionaires, etc.) would have cause to vote for Romney as well. But I mean your typical working woman who isn't beholden to religious dogma. Solidly middle-class, maybe with a couple of kids. Maybe married, maybe not. What actual policies has Mitt Romney identified, that will be a part of his administration, that will actually be better for women's lives, economic, physical, sexual, etc.? I'm actually interested, because as a dude looking at the two choices, I can't envision a single reason why Romney's America would be better for American women.

Because they work hard for the money. So hard for it, honey.

Aren't you morally superior to her!

Did they change your meds again? A couple months ago I changed you from 'angry as fark" to "becoming more reasonable," but now your going off the rails again.

Yeah the fact they had to "combine" 12 states together instead of doing each state by themselves tells you everything about this poll.

gadian: There are 12 swing states? All year I've heard of like...5.

In the entire race, the only states to have swung on 538 have been Florida, North Carolina, Colorado, and Virginia. And CO and VA only swang after the first debate. They're back to Obama now.

Lionel Mandrake: I_C_Weener: Maybe some of them are upset at one side tweeting stuff like "vote like your lady parts depend on it" reducing women to vaginas instead of people. Or maybe, just maybe no group is as homogeneous as pols and polls think. Aside from the Aftican American voting block that is.

The homophobe block is pretty predictable

So is the racist block.

Actually, yeah, I am superior to her in every way possible. Well, she smokes more weed than I do, but hey I can't win 'em all.

I was wondering why the local GOP shill newspaper columnist (she calls herself an Independent after being a lifelong Democrat, of course) suddenly felt the need to tell us she "stopped at a local diner for lunch and overheard the four waitresses talking about Biden vs. Ryan and how it convinced all four of them to support Romney now."

Clearly the week's talking points have been distributed to the "liberal media"

Among all registered voters in the survey, Obama leads by nine points among women and by two points overall, 49%-47%.
