Eatin' Queer Fetuses for Jesus: I have a single waitress-mom from Colorado Springs on my Facebook supporting Romney. She just popped out a bastard fetus on Medicaid, too. Oh and she also had sex with a mechanic just to get her car fixed for free, and bragged to me about it.

So mostly you're upset you never learned how to fix a timing belt?

dahmers love zombie: Could someone please give me a couple of reasons why a woman would vote for Romney rather than Obama? I understand that religious women often vote against their own interests, and the few super-rich women (or wives of billionaires, etc.) would have cause to vote for Romney as well. But I mean your typical working woman who isn't beholden to religious dogma. Solidly middle-class, maybe with a couple of kids. Maybe married, maybe not. What actual policies has Mitt Romney identified, that will be a part of his administration, that will actually be better for women's lives, economic, physical, sexual, etc.? I'm actually interested, because as a dude looking at the two choices, I can't envision a single reason why Romney's America would be better for American women.

If they start turning tricks in Utah, he might drive by in his Benz for a nooner, fall in love with her, and take her away for a life of luxury.

Maybe because they and/or their children have suffered thru four years of the Obama "recovery" and want to give somebody else a try now so that they can have a job and a future? All the other issues go only so far when you have no money.

Nadie_AZ: themindiswatching: dahmers love zombie: Could someone please give me a couple of reasons why a woman would vote for Romney rather than Obama?

Because there is a certain group of people who think unconsciously that Rmoney is a "real man" or something.

No. They vote for the party. That's it. They vote GOP no matter what. It is obvious and nothing short of Fox News and the GOP flipping sides will really change that. Thankfully demographics are going to encourage said change.

This. I have 2 female friends who are voting for Romney, come what may. I can point out every single GOP candidate who want to sidetrack women's choices, curtail women's healthcare, vow to overturn Roe v. Wade, yet hypocritically (and erroneously) accuse Obamacare of "putting a panel of people between you and your doctor", and it falls on deaf ears. What I get back can best be described as ZOMG, SOCIALISM!

They're Republicans and will vote that way, never bothering to learn about the issues or the candidates' platforms. Oddly, they're both at near-poverty levels (one works in a laundromat, the other's a manicurist) and use at least one social program on a regular basis (the one at the laundromat uses Planned Parenthood for her checkups but doesn't see the irony of voting into office the same people who would cut that service).

Oh, this is truly hilarious. After a wave of unprecedented anti-women legislation from the GOP centered on putting Small Government Conservativestm (R) (c) in charge of women's lady parts, the Dems said "hey, ladies, you might want to look at the GOP's effed-up ideas regarding your vajayjay before voting" and apparently it's the Dems who objectify women.

tl;dr: Your pathetic attempt at projection is as pathetic as it is transparent.

Romney pulling ahead in 12 crucial swing states and has "waitress moms" "white trash" to thank for it

Hey, a dog whistle of our very own!

So now I can call my lazy-ass sister-in-law who watches Fox News all day and loves Romney/Ryan, even though she doesn't have a pot to piss in and had been sucking on the government teat her whole life, a "waitress mom" and get away with it!

I don't have any farking money and I wouldn't vote for Romney if he gave me a million dollars. I have standards. What a creepazoid.

The idea that a bunch of maroons who can't even make up their minds who to vote for until very close to the election, are going to be the very people who decide the election, boggles my mind.

Yeah. I've heard Romney is promising to double the Dow, reduce the unemployment rate by about 2.5%, and increase corporate profits to the highest EVER, and all within only four years. Can you imagine how awesome that would be?

tenpoundsofcheese: dahmers love zombie: Could someone please give me a couple of reasons why a woman would vote for Romney rather than Obama?

Sure. They care about employment and the economy.

The 0bama economy really hurt that demographic as they lost jobs at a disproportionate rate.

I love how 0bama is responsible for the entire economy (yet the GOP is the party of private enterprise and personal responsibility and get government out of our lives? hmmm) yet he can't take credit for the action to kill Osama.

Romney came off in the debate like the end result of the dude who knocked them up in high school and then went off to college, never to return their calls. Eventually that dude will respond to their calls, and he sure as hell won't be asking them to return to the tax rates that we suffered under during Clinton.

1. Many of them genuinely like Romney and the GOP agenda. As dems/libs...that can be hard for some of us to understand, but we shouldn't live in denial.

2. Some people, believe it or not, only recently started paying attention to the campaign. Imagine if you didn't know about or care about anything that happened prior to the first Obama/Romney debate. If all you had to go on was that debate (and the subsequent reaction to it)...Romney might be looking really good to you right now.

95% of Bush's votes were from white people

A new USA TODAY/Gallup Poll of the Swing States shows Mitt Romney with a lead among likely voters as he strengthens his standing with women in the nation's top battlegrounds.

source for TFA:

USA TODAY/Gallup Poll of Swing States taken Oct. 5-11 in Colo., Fla., Iowa, Mich., Nev., N.H., N.M., N.C., Ohio, Pa., Va. and Wis. Margins of error: +/- 4 to 6 percentage points. Nationwide head-to-head matchup based on Gallup daily tracking poll of registered voters Oct. 10-11. Margin of error: +/- 4 points.

Your "new" poll is from the middle of last week before the vice presidential debate. Don't worry, though, it's not like dozens of new ones, including at least half a dozen from the same polling firm, have come out since, right?

So, any reason why an Obama supporter should be shaking in his boots over a 4 day old poll that doesn't break the results up by state and has a margin of error of up to 6 percentage points?

Didn't think so.

I think about women like that sometimes -how they'd feel and what they'd think if they actually showed up to PP one day and found the doors shuttered and the windows boarded, and found out later that it was their beloved Republicans who passed the bill closing it down. THEN would they wake up and see the Republicans for what they are? THEN would they understand that their enemy wasn't the Democrats all along?

The part of me that wants to have faith in Americans' intelligence tells me yes. But the part of me that isn't an idiot says no.

Can a Fark Statistician explain how these charts are placing the "other/no opinion" part of the chart? Most of the charts with Romney ahead reflect his gains on the bottom of the chart, but the one chart with Obama ahead reflects his gains on the top. In each chart, the "other/no opinion" part of the chart deviates from the 12 o'clock position towards one side or the other, but I don't see an explanation for it.

You say "war on women," and half those chicks hear "war on OTHER women" and think "hell yeah!"

"All my friends are guys 'cause biatches get on my nerves. I cain't deal with all their bullshiat."

Women outside their circle are enemies, "What you lookin' at, skank?"

Not only that, but subby seems to be alluding to the "average" across all the swing states together, which has fark-all to do with who actually wins. What matters is who wins each state.

The only swing state going solidly in Romney's direction right now is North Carolina. Florida is leaning Romney, but still close enough for it to be a toss-up, and VA is dead even. CO, IA, and NV are all leaning Obama, but close enough to be toss-ups. The other 6 swing states are all pretty solid Obama states right now. Personally, I'd rather have the candidate who has 3/4ths of the swing states either leaning toward him or solidly in his corner.

They are also against the majority of christian values, math, science, ethnicity of any kind, etc.

Not ALL republicans are this way, but I've yet to see a Republican take a stand against the southern strategy or denounce anything short of legotimate rape.

Mr. Coffee Nerves: I was wondering why the local GOP shill newspaper columnist (she calls herself an Independent after being a lifelong Democrat, of course) suddenly felt the need to tell us she "stopped at a local diner for lunch and overheard the four waitresses talking about Biden vs. Ryan and how it convinced all four of them to support Romney now."

Clearly the week's talking points have been distributed to the "liberal media"

Having just returned home from my 9 hour shift waiting tables, I have serious doubts about the veracity of this columnist. But hey, guess her anecdotal evidence has as much weight as my own, despite my knowing a few (hundred) more people in this business than she does

Lionel Mandrake: Oh, "waitress moms." Is this the crucial made-up demographic/lazy reporter shorthand for 2012?

It's a newly discovered made up demographic that, like other Republicans, are too stupid to avoid voting against their own interests.
