I'm almost embarrassed for that woman. ALMOST.

2012-10-15 04:07:55 PM
She reminds of a female, drunk, angry Ice T.

Drops it like it's hot? Really?

What this lady said is so offensive because it's so blatant--she finally comes out and says what we all know that the Democrats really think. That's why this ad is so damaging to the President here in Ohio.

Let me tell you something, I'm from Ohio -- I was elected statewide as the Secretary of State, and Ohio State Treasurer--this ad is effective. If swing voters in this state see this ad, they simply will not support President Obama, and he will lose Ohio.

I can't see the video, but it's nice to know that if the election were to be placed in the hands of the Sec. State of Ohio, it would be handled fairly and non-partisan like.

You know, like Bush/Gore election and Kathleen Harris in Florida.

I remember a Fresh Prince of Bel Air episode where Will was upset because of a news story in black neighborhood, and out of a crowd of many perfectly rational, intelligent black people, the reporter interviewed the most ghetto, unintelligent, and obnoxious one they could find.

This video reminded me of that episode.

Can you believe that woman might even get as much as TEN DOLLARS of her cell plan paid for?

Yeah, these people are totally not racist or anything.

2012-10-15 04:41:11 PM
Seriously, Fox. Why "drops it like it's hot"?

Jackson Herring: Seriously, Fox. Why "drops it like it's hot"?

You know you don't need to ask, or expect better from them. They simply A) are that racist or B) have no qualms playing up their racist viewers.

It is FoxNation. That is the Fox News site where they give free rein to their racist tendencies and then try to put distance between it and the rest of the network by saying it is a blog site.

They did the Hip Hop BBQ and apparently allow anything in their comments section. Some real good stuff there. Klan-worthy.

Of course I farking don't have to ask. It was more of a rhetorical question. I want to see one of our resident ballgargling trolls explain this one.

Oh, is that all you have? Wow. OK, then. Thanks for trying I guess or something. See you in 4 years later when a Republican might have a chance again.

Oh, please do run it.

It's not like the Democrats can't find equally embarrassing individuals and portray them as some synecdochical reflection of the whole. I would hope they have to class to refrain from such obvious nonsense, though.

But if they were to, let's start with Chris Matthews' "study it up" lady.

There are so many to pick from but I think that ignorant Republican crone is a good starting place.

She's only good due to primacy/recency effect. You could just start picking just about any speech from actual elected members of the House of Representatives to get just as much crazy.

Oh! Here's a nice lady to feature in an Obama ad.

You can't arrest me - I'm a Republican!

Bonus: Says being drunk and belligerent makes her a good mother.

I think technically they are Bush phones since he's the one who extended the policy to cover cell phones. And it's really not a bad policy, either. These are reconditioned cell phones. They can be used for emergencies, like the kind that may befall a senior or a pregnant woman. They can also be used for job hunting. Each phone has a 250 minute limit per month. They can only be used for domestic calls. These phones are funded by the small universal fee the rest of us pay.

This is one of the few Bush policies I have no problem with. I don't really think Republicans have a problem with this policy, either (this being their idea and all). No, this ad harkens back to another Reagan golden oldie: the scary Welfare Queen. It worked beautifully for Reagan, this idea of a (black) woman who is crude, undeserving, and living high off the tax payer dime. It's as untrue now as it was then (certain wealthy white guys better fit the bill of the Welfare Queen). And it may work as well now as it did then.

Will Biden's new Trans Am come with an Obama phone?

This could be counteracted by making an ad using video from a trailer park.

I think you are underestimating how big of deal this is to the people that will not vote for Obama no matter what crowd. It's all they've been talking about the last two days. To them this is the best surprise ever.

2012-10-15 05:35:39 PM
Well that settles that. Up till now I've been undecided, wondering which candidate is going to tackle growing the menace of black people getting phones.

In their defense, I was not expecting this entire election would hinge entirely on a 25 year old Republican policy that Obama never touched. It is a suprise(at least to me), and it is October... so they are correct.

No racist agenda at all here.

Because a white single mom living in in an apartment in the suburbs who has one of these phones is just not as scary.

And, here it is. Overt racism. That's their plan to motivate moderates and influence independents. This is what the brightest, most well-paid Republican minds came up with. Racism.

Ridiculing someone because they are in a lower income bracket and lack communication skills, standard bully tactics.

She is out working hard for a cause that she believes in, to support her presidential candidate of choice. Exercising her rights of speech and assembly as an American and not harming anyone in any possible way.

Go fark yourself GOP.
