It'd be nice if intentional grounding plays got recorded as sacks. If it's a loss of down at the spot of the foul, it is, for all intents and purposes, a sack. Guys shouldn't be screwed out of stats because the QB threw it illegally at the last second.

The last time Brady won a ring, Sherman was in high school. Keep clinging to that past glory, it's in no way pathetic.

It's not the clinging to the past thing, it's the fact that Seattle won a game. Played a good game and edged the Patriots but it was a game. This guy looks like he's starting a flame war over winning a single regular season game. Did yesterday suck for Brady and the Patriots? Of course. Did it diminish TB's legacy? I'm leaning toward no.

I thought Red Sox fans had complex but man, Seattle sports fans are brutal. If anyone has anything to say about the Hawks, Mariners, Sonics, they lose it.

Because no one has ever talked trash before, during, or after a game before. Sherman has a sense of humor and posts it to his (not many) followers, most of whom are Seattle fans. Seattle fans repost it, NFL people re-post it, Patriots fans get buttmad and start a cavalcade of "you suck, you'll never be anything," "Brady torched you for almost 400 yards," "what have you won?" stupid comments and he clowns on a few of 'em for fun.

/what did he win? "This week's game against the Patriots"
//it's particularly funny to hear all the "classless" comments coming from the fanbase that LOVED their team rubbing a win in San Diego's faces and then b*tched about San Diego saying they were classless, saying it was "loser talk"
///not to mention all Welker's foot jokes aimed at Rex Ryan, Brady's "We're only going to score 17? Okay," etc., all of which were supported whole-heartedly by the Patriots' fanbase

I'll stop clinging after they stop whining about losing to the Steelers.

If it went down as reported, Brady had the post-game smack coming.
However before things get too far outta hand, I'd like to remind my fellow 'Hawks fans:

The loss to the Steelers happened more recently than any of the Pats' titles...

Exactly. Brady was Hasselbeck-esque a few times in recent years and usually he ends up getting clowned, a la Sherman.

Word is that Sherman and Earl Thomas started chirping at Brady to keep throwing because they were going to pick him off if he did. Brady responded with something along the lines of "Yeah, come see me after we win."

Sherman then tweeted the photo of himself "going to see Brady" as they walked off the field.

This is nothing new for Sherman. He talked trash about AJ Green last year, Steve Smith last week and now the Pats. He strikes me as the kind of guy that you love when he's on your team and absolutely hate when he plays against you. I know that if he played for the Niners, I'd hate him the same way I do Jim Harbaugh.

I want my defense talking sh*t and my offense minding their own business. And fortunately, that's exactly how the team is constructed. Though Wilson's praise for Brady after the game is a little much for my taste.

I've got no horse in this race. I hate the Pats and the Seahawks might as well not exist IMO. But seriously...they won a game. At home. Against a struggling team with a horrid secondary. It's not that impressive. "Act like you've been there before"tm.

Again, IF Brady talked trash, this is all pretty funny. If I-already-forgot-his-name just made up the story about Brady saying "see you after the game", then it's juvenile and stupid.

2012-10-15 03:39:02 PM
One other interesting stat I saw about yesterday's game. After Brady got whacked in the face by Jason Jones, a play that was flagged correctly as Unnecessary Roughness, he was 5/12 for 81 yds and a pick. There was a lot of talk after this game about how the Pats gave it away and only had themselves to blame (just like any team that loses to Seattle), but this defense, specifically the pass rush, had Brady rattled. Only one sack on the day, but 2 intentional grounding penalties and 22 incompletions (including 2 picks and several very poorly thrown balls) would lead me to believe that he was very uncomfortable back there.

Maybe he should worry about making the playoffs before he starts with the smack talk. Currently, the AFC east is tied up at 3-3. If the Pat's don't win the AFC east, they deserve ridicule. The Seahawks are in a 3 way tie at 4-2 for first in an infinitely tougher division.

Does he realize the ration of shiat he's gonna have to eat if the Hawks don't make the playoffs and the Pat's do? As a Pat's fan, we can be douchebags, we will rub this in Seattle's face.

I think it is pretty clear that Brady is checking out. He's nailed two supermodels and impregnated them, married one, has three rings, is first ballet HOF and 35. Retirement looms.

Not saying anything about the Seahawks guy (honestly Brady didn't have to respond to his trash talk during the game but I don't really care), but the Andre Johnson beat down of CF is one of my favorite moments from that already magical season.

I guess you could say that. I've got no problem with guys who can back it up talking trash in a game. I love having a defense with a nasty attitude. Do I think he should've posted that tweet? No, but I have no problem with him talking trash to Brady. Nor do I have a problem with him giving Brady the business after the game. The guy was drafted late and has quickly become one of the better corners in the league because he plays with a chip on his shoulder. I should also point out that he's one of the first to acknowledge mistakes when the 'Hawks lose. He went a little too far this time, but I'll wait to be angry about it until he talks trash and complains after a loss where he underperformed.

They're not, though, every time a team beats 'em physically, they lose. All you have to do is rattle Brady. BTW, that revamped running game got shut the f*ck down REAL quick once you ran into an actual defense, didn't it, Pats?

I still worry about the Seahawks' midget rookie QB, though. The passing game is anemic.

Christ, the Seahawks fan(s?) here apparently thinks they beat the 2007 Pats and not the 2012 squad that everyone already knew was mediocre. Which is kind of ironic when the same person turns around and states that nothing that happened a few years ago matters...

Well, people laughed when I said that the Seahawks would give the Patriots a run for their money.

Of course they were laughing because I accidentally attributed the Hawks as AFC West instead of NFC West, but anyway I was still right.

I guess we could've jumped some bandwagon a while back and decided to be Cowboy fans or something (I know some around Seattle who did, just like every city). I have no problem with my team's history. We had some really really shiatty ownership for a long time, but under decent management we've been pretty damned good on the whole.

You guys have fun looking back, but from what I can see Boston's reign is ending.

It sounded like more than that from the article.

Hey, it doesn't matter. I'm pretty sure the Pat's are going to make the playoffs. If Seattle doesn't, I know I'm going to tweet:
