DARE people were the worst. They even knew the stuff they were teaching was blatant, fear mongering lies, and that was the hardest thing ever to swallow about the whole thing. Make drugs out to be the worst things ever so kids won't touch them was the tactic, and it failed so miserably it wasn't even funny.

I think the breaking point for me was in 10th grade, going through a DARE Trailer for the Tennessee Highway Patrol and seeing Weed put up in the same class as Crystal Meth in harm.

Homestly, coffee is way worse than crystal meth.

People can't handle meth. You try it once and die slow. So most folken avoid it.

Coffee seems harmless, so EVERYONE uses it, EXPECTS you to use it. We'll even eat it out of a cat's ass. That's true horror.

I'm an adult who doesn't drive drunk and I'm sick of hearing/seeing the messages and it's not nearly as condescending, trite, simplistic, or unrealistic as that aimed at teens.

When a significant number simply don't drink, and the vast majority of those who do drink do not drive drunk, you're bound to test the limits of how much insulting time wasting lectures they're willing to take.

Put yourself in their shoes. How many assemblies like this would all of us as adults put up with? How many times would your job have to bring you to a meeting/assembly of the kind schools do before you stopped paying attention or even engaged in a little taunting? Granted, adults would be a little more tactful, but anyone paying attention would realize that the vast majority are sick of this kind of meeting and showing it to the presenter.

The assemblies with the paid hacks were the WORST. There's a good racket for "cleaned" up drunks and drug addicts doing bullshiat speaking gigs.
