No, you're thinking of liberals railing about conservatives. As most of the time what liberals are so against is their own misconceptions about conservatives.

I can't wait until carnival season starts so that you can return to your "profession".

if I had a dollar for every time I've had to point out to a liberal going on about what a horrific racist Bush was or how horrible he was on Africa... That Bush gave Africa 1 billion to fight AIDS in Africa, I would be... able to make a jeep payment. buy something at the dollar store.

There's also the hand full of instances where he was given "props" by somebody and liberals frantically waved their arms around saying "Hush! Hush! You're not helping promote our racism lie"

No shiat. That's the one thing Democrats have always given him credit for.

Just like Ted Bundy got credit for working for that suicide hotline, and Al Capone got credit for running those soup kitchens.

I think what randomjsa was trying to do was to claim that because Bush gave a bunch of money to fight AIDS in Africa, that means none of his other foreign or domestic policies could possibly be racist.

Liberals learn about conservatives by watching what conservatives do and say.
Conservatives learn about liberals by listening to what other conservatives say about liberals.

whidbey: Recently, much of the upgrade at the state health departments has been possible due to the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare, which allocated $270 million for public health infrastructure training as well as research and tracking.

Is there some farking reason Huffington didn't put this information in the headline, where it belongs from the get-go?

To be fair, the GOP was largely cool with Obama's handling of the tornadoes in Joplin, and how we dealt with the Somalian pirates.

I mean, you're not gonna hear about it now, but it's an election year. We have to pretend we don't have points of commonality if we want the straight-ticket idiots to continue acting like herd animals or local football fans instead of thinking for five minutes before voting.

Really?
Asked about federal disaster relief for recent tornado and flood victims at last night's GOP debate, candidate Mitt Romney called the spending "immoral" and said the Federal Emergency Management Agency should be privatized. With greenhouse pollution on the rise, the United States has been struck by a "punishing series of billion-dollar disasters."
Embracing a radical anti-government ideology from the most extreme elements of the Tea Party, Romney said that the victims in Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, Massachusetts, and other communities hit by tornadoes and flooding should not receive governmental assistance. He argued it is "simply immoral" for there to be deficit spending that could harm future generations.

RUSH: You know what we have learned about the Somali pirates, the merchant marine organizers that were wiped out at the order of Barack Obama, you know what we learned about them? They were teenagers. The Somali pirates, the merchant marine organizers who took a US merchant captain hostage for five days were inexperienced youths, the defense secretary, Roberts Gates, said yesterday, adding that the hijackers were between 17 and 19 years old. Now, just imagine the hue and cry had a Republican president ordered the shooting of black teenagers on the high seas.
They were kids. The story is out, I don't know if it's true or not, but apparently the hijackers, these kids, the merchant marine organizers, Muslim kids, were upset, they wanted to just give the captain back and head home because they were running out of food, they were running out of fuel, they were surrounded by all these US Navy ships, big ships, and they just wanted out of there. That's the story, but then when one of them put a gun to the back of the captain, Mr. Phillips, then bam, bam, bam. There you have it, and three teenagers shot on the high seas at the order of President Obama.

I'm guessing the real problem is lack of funding to the FDA for inspectors, and the requirement for the last thirty years that companies which manufacture/process food and drugs "police themselves".

Nobody. The free market will take care of these kinds of problems.

Corporations are increasingly using their money to try and change the rules rather than just complying with them..I wonder how much soft money the pharmaceutical industry has donated to fight "ObamaCare". Maybe that money would have been better spent on safety and compliance.

The existence of counter-examples does not really counter my point. There is always someone, somewhere that will complain about literally anything. And that person is usually Rush Limbaugh.

I'll take your point on Romney, though, he is actually ostensibly a leader of the party with views representing the bulk of its members.

Dear. Dr. Manoj, Huffington Post specialist guy,

When the crux of the story is about a specific drug that gets contaminated, please do us the courtesy of spelling it right. It will add to your credibility.

Thanks in advance,

So it was just isolated incidents. Got it.

Isolated to just the overzealous leader of the party.

This is why we need to repeal Obamacare. All those job killing regulations.

As opposed to all those people-killing medications.

You run into a lot of liberals who go on and on about how awful Bush was on Africa.

Yep that sounds totally plausible. It's all we ever talk about.

...when we're not talking about destroying the Traditional American Family

...or forcing people to become gay Muslims.

...or fighting vaginal probination.
