THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!

Bicyclists are not required to follow any traffic laws whatsoever! They have the right to swerve across five lanes while going the wrong way on a one-way street and if they get hit by those mean car drivers, they get to sue the driver for everything they have.

Okay. I don't think I was ever offended. Just pointing out that the word has lost all meaning and is applied to all young people. Again, just disagreeing with people's strange hatred of a group of people.

there are plenty of aging hipsters as well. The people who head back into college in their late 30s-50s who learn macrame, drink chianti, and place a few well chosen books on the coffee table who think they discovered radio head and coldplay, and get a lizard tatted on their foot and a acquire a nose ring, usually getting a red streak dyed in.

Friday nights are spent at the local hookah bar eating stuffed grape leaves and wondering aloud if they should sign up for belly button classes.

I don't hate any of them, everyone just wants to belong in the end right? It is all very tribal and conforming when groups dress, think, and act alike.

However, being a rebel is not becoming a cliche of a demographic that you aspire to belong to.

And you label yourself a young, urban dweller, you deserve the title hipster.

Yeah, that all makes sense. "Hipsters" are not the people starting fights or making too much noise. They generally keep to themselves in my experience. They are way down the list of people who bother me when I am out so that is why I am confused about all the hate they get.

Hate is about the hater; the word itself is about brevity. F'rinstance you could have saved a lot of bandwidth in your profile by just typing 'hipster'. The pic, the music, the likes...all that would have been implied.

I used to have a diesel rabbit back in the day. I looooooved it when some jackhole would come up and tailgate me because he thought going 30 in a 25 just wasnt rast enough for him... so I would put it in fifth and hit the accelerator and out comes a beautiful cloud of black smoke.. It never failed and they backed off.

I once watched a jackass self-clothes line and collapse in the middle of an intersection he was crossing on a redlight when his comically long scarf got caught up in his rear wheel's spokes. It was probably the best example of instant karma I've ever witnessed.

Really? Having the earbuds in makes him look a little douchey, but he's not wearing anything ironic, doesn't have skinny jeans, his head/facial hair is unkempt but not intentionally ridiculous.. I'm not really seeing it.
