Mike_LowELL: NO GUYS, ANY GAME DESIGN TECHNIQUE WHICH BRINGS VIDEO GAMES CLOSER TO VIRTUAL REALITY IS A GIMMICK, WE'RE OPPOSED TO PROGRESS ON PRINCIPLE, GET ON MESSAGE, PEOPLE
ManateeGag: how about add an electroction option, when you get zapped or stunned and a spike that comes out when you get stabbed.
lordargent: Put the option for auto run at start-up back in(I turn on the 360, go make a snack, when I'm back, the system has booted and the game is at the start screen. This PS3 is supposed to be a GAMING system first and foremost, right, so why can't I have the option to have the game start when the system is turned on. The rumor I heard is that people who use their PS3s as media players were mad that game disks would auto launch at startup, so sony changed the feature (AND the documentation) and pissed off the people that actually want to use the damn thing for gaming)
Zombie DJ: I think we're getting closer to Last Starfighter but for just Earthlings."Hi, this is the Pentagon. We noticed how well you played Call Of Duty...."
Spadababababababa Spadina Bus: [www.pbfcomics.com image 850x283]/Hot like Sony's controller
lordargent: Theaetetus: It's a slight workaround, but eject the disc when you're done. When you're ready to play, turn on the PS3, insert the disc, and go make a snack and it'll be at the start screen when you return - it auto-plays inserted discs. So now, there's no point in turning it on from the controller since I would have to walk over to the PS3 to insert the disk anyway.
lordargent: Theaetetus: Geez, fatty, maybe it'll do you some good. /I keedI am just slightly over the normal weight range for my height (gained weight from working too much OT over the past few months)But in other news, since we're talking tech and hardware. I just got one of these and it's a nice piece of kit.Suunto Quest Running Pack// Took it out for a spin last Wednesday, was amused at how the heartrate chart basically represented the elevations of my run.[sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net image 612x302]
kroonermanblack: Just pawned my Xbox and Ps3 today, so..not sure if getting kick?I reallized I never turned the damn things on more than 2-3 times a year, and am trying to get rid of 'stuff'. Last time I fired up the xbox I had to the semi annual entire redesign patch, and my account I've had for 5+ years no longer worked, so that was pretty much the end of the xbox. The PS3 is just obnoxious most of the time. There just aren't that many games I want to play and have the time to play; steam provides both fairly seamlessly. I've had consoles pretty much continuously since the SNES, so it's wierd to think there's not one sitting down there. But as I age I seem to lose a lot of interest in games, and increasing real life responsabilities interfere too.Plus I got tired of the direct marketing forcefed into my machine any time I dared start it up. Now I just have to figure out if I want to keep the TV and buy a cheap blu-ray player for entertaining company. I never use it, my TV watching is done at the comp. Anyone have an overt recommendation for a cheap bluray player? Like...20-50 bucks?
spelletrader: They keep trying new controller gimmicks rather than innovating on game design to make something groundbreaking.Probably because they don't design games.
