Marine1: You win championships, go to the headquarters in Arlington, and say, "We earned the money, now where is it, farkers? Also, this whole building needs to move back to KC."

Yes...all the Texas based Big 12 administrators would've been so willing to move the Big 12 HQ back to KC. Any team north of the Oklahoma border would never get any leverage regardless of how good they are.

The thing to also consider is that hopefully by being in the SEC, we'll get recuits who would've never thought of coming to Mizzou.

Because let's be honest, Mizzou wasn't an attractive place for recruits to go to when they were in the Big 12.

What? Auburn SUCKS now that they aren't committing academic fraud, paying for players, and signing up the dirtiest college football player this side of Marcus Vick?

The HELL you say.

Good enough to generate more first-round NFL draft picks than anyone else in the Big XII in the last few years.

Texas could have been dealt with. Those with undeservedly large egos almost always can be.

Well, let's go with the following situaiton:

It's 2022. Mizzou has concentrated on its football efforts in the Big XII, starting after first beating Oklahoma at home in 2010 and extending those results after lots of hard work over the course of a decade. It has made at least one major bowl appearance at this point and has won said game. The Tigers are now in contention to win the Big XII, or possibly go on to the national stage. This has brought massive public attention to the university via television viewers and Big XII revenues have increased as a result.

The University of Missouri now believes (correctly) that it can bargain with the Big XII for more benefits as a first-rate team, reinforced by the excellence it has displayed.

Texas says no.

Missouri says fine and goes to another conference, presumably either the Big 10 or SEC.

That would not have been an incredibly far-fetched situation.

LOL! You guys are farking delusional. You're second rate in everything and always will be.

Plus, you don't even know what "more benefits" you would even want. Face it, you agreed to a big payday to become the SEC's biatch. Just like the Sunbelt does.

All it takes is one dick move by Texas or one really attractive offer by the Pac12 to disintegrate the Big 12.

It was a really unstable conference to be in and I hate having to deal with what would happen if the worst expected. I really think that's part of why Mizzou ditched the Big 12. They just couldn't put up with the drama anymore.

That all started to manifest when our governor said that Mizzou was eyeing some other conferences.

Whether or not it would have come up without him saying it is not something you can really predict.
