Well, to be fair, I did read another article that said mom was also a pot smoker.

JonPace: The only issue I have with murder is the concept of "attempted murder". Why should somebody get a different sentence just because the killer was a bad aim or the person made a miraculous recoveru?

I agree.

"Your Honor, my client incorrectly estimated the amount of arsenic required to kill an adult...please give him a lesser sentence."

Attempted murder, what is that? Do they give out a Nobel Prize for attempted chemistry?
