Why does netflix have such a lame selection of Halloween shows? (all holidays really). You would think that they would make a bit of an effort to pull something together.

Google "AM1200".

Website has a couple short clips, but you've gotta watch the whole thing.

I've been waiting for someone to write an article about why for the last 4 months of so, there have been no new releases on either Netflix, Amazon Prime or Hulu in the way of movies. Sure there have been shiatloads of TV series, but new movie releases are virtually non-existent.

I just got through with series 2 of Sherlock on Netflix. Each episode is practically a movie and way better than the first season. That's been Netflix only saving grace for me for awhile

I love the idea of scary movies, but I'm just too much of a baby to watch them. Even the screenshot from Bedfellows (I assume) at the end of TFA practically gave me heart palpitations.

Because Halloween sucks. Seriously, it's almost as annoying as a Palin.

Also, Netflix sucks. Sucks ass. But I'm Canadian, where a movie from 2009 is considered a "NEW RELEASE OMG" to them.

No shiat. I'll have to revisit after work when I can watch with the sound on.

Now, if you want a good spook, go play Slender. It's free, simple and shouldn't be that scary but got a good shout out of me first time the Slenderman got me.

Gotta give props to the SFX guys for that, pretty nice looking robots. The kid bugged me until I remembered what he was from (the kid from The Sitter). You knew what was gonna happen, but it was still pretty good.

I never liked "He Dies in the End" short. Way too predictable, and the monster looked like a pinata

I saw that at a movie festival 2 years ago, really creepy.

This guy's obviously never seen "Flesh Eating Film Reels

Happy when the old reel-to-reel player finally died.

Where did Slenderman come from? I randomly started seeing pictures of him while looking at funny pictures on the can (not in that creepy "random evil pics showing" kind of way, they were making fun of him).

No joke, the internet. There was a contest I think on Reddit to come up with a monster.

Pretty sure it's an Aphex Twin music video. I'm at work too, so I'm not going to look for it, but it's SFW (I think). Also check out "Come to Daddy" by Aphex Twin.

Hey now! They had Captain America on there.

Last new "blockbuster" I have seen on there.

Not really a story, a music video, and there might be a weiner. So be careful. No obvious NSFWishness, but it's there if you know what to look for.

I'm sure this is old news to everyone, but in the spirit of October (although the quality can be VERY hit and miss) here's a fun blog for scary short stories from contributors:

http://www.creepypasta.com/

A couple of the (more well-known) ones I enjoyed:

Pale Luna
Candle Cove

2012-10-12 03:40:10 PM
Saladfingers mysteriously absent

2012-10-12 03:41:41 PM

Electromax: Pale Luna

Awesome.

Taken, by Adam Phillips of Bitey of Brackenwood fame.

If you didn't think a cartoon could make you crap yourself....

(I've always found all of Phillips' works a little creepy. The worlds he creates are wondrous and amazing, but definitely not safe, by any means.)

mat catastrophe: List utterly fails without this.

...and the debate at our house about whether or not we should get a cat just took an interesting turn.
