RichieLaw: USA Prime Credit Peggy: VTGremlin: RichieLaw: I like this. Perks updated.

The $50 seems to promise something you can't deliver. The other ones are fine, but that one may cause people to donate $50 just so they can biatch that you didn't keep up your end of it.

Maybe a disclaimer that all "Perks" are not to be taken seriously. Or somesuch.

Unless you include "$5000 perk: you get to drive the beast to meet the president!"

I thought I made it pretty evident that those perks weren't real...I honestly dont think a disclaimer is necessary at this point....

Right? People aren't that dumb.

Did you see upthread that JFarker will get in a bikini for this? Get on that!!!!

You know what's awesome? This Biden/TransAm thing is likely to knock the links you love to tout about Biden's charitable giving off Google's first page results.

It's already happening. Enjoy.

No, you're right, and no one in their right mind would think the perks are real. But I have no idea what your legal obligations are on sites like this or kickstarter to provide the service/item you promised for a certain donation. It could be you're under no obligation at all, but I was operating under the assumption you are because I don't actually know. And people are that malicious, especially when it comes to politics.

Bontesla: Cyclometh: When we go over two grand that'll be another big milestone.

I'd love to see a celeb match the donation. Has anyone tweeted Kal Penn?

Who is that country singer that does the commercial for wounded warriors? Tracey Adkins? Maybe someone who tweets should tweet him.

I figured they wouldn't be donating. If someone wants to sue me for not being able to touch Biden's jock then I welcome them to try. :)

Absolutely. It was the administration that sunk Pontiac. Not the fact that Pontiac cars were so disposable, at one point they came in a roll with perforations so that you could tear your next Sunfire off and have a clean edge.

Yes, its all Obama's fault. It wasn't part of GM's plan to eventually phase out the brand. And it definitely wasn't inevitable since it pretty much cannibalized the Chevrolet brand.

It takes balls to double down on stupidity.

Do you honestly think that both brands would've survived if GM declared bankruptcy on it's own? They couldn't even sell off Saturn to anyone.

The fact is that GM had too many brands that looked alike and ended up hurting them in the long run, hence why GM skimmed back.

They didn't skim back because of the government, they skimmed back because no one else would buy them.

So get upset at GM for mismanaging these brands, not the Government.

Cpl.D: Twice Banned: No it's even worse than that. I showed $5k previously, over that last ten years he averages $369 per year. He has never disputed the fact that he is cheap.

That's according to his tax records. Which denotes only the donations he claims. I don't think any of his work or treasure spent on his charitable foundation is claimed.

Thanks for playing.

As someone who donates a decent chunk every year, spends a decent amount of time doing charitable things for free, and does not put it on my taxes, I can say for certain that tax returns are not the be-all-end all for what someone does with their lives. Not every person who does things in this country has lowering their tax liability as their #1 concern.

How many of you donors drive an American car?

I didn't donate but we're pretty much a GM family.

I drive an Oldsmobile, used to drive a Saturn from 1993 (very reliable car) and my parents drive a GMC Terrain and a Buick LaCrosse.

Know how I know you don't know what a major car company CEO knows?

Pontiac - was supposed to be the performance division of GM became a victim of rebadging
Saturn - Much like Toyota's Scion division was supposed to be the cheap car that was reliable, was ignored and fell victim to rebadging.

Also Chrysler was restructured and the gubmint engineered a sale to Fiat which has turned that company around. Yeah, GM is still sucking but the company is lead by a CEO, not Obama.
