PallMall: RichieLaw... add some higher-end "Perks" amounts to the Indiegogo. Some folks just like to make sure everyone can see that they gave more than the Fark paupers. (ie Add a $25, $50, $100, $1000, etc).

No need to actually have a Perk, other than bragging rights that they donated so much.

Viral Marketing Lesson Two: If you wanna go big... go big.

See, another poster favorited with urine yellow 3.

Have you noticed the total for charity is already $3,000 in less than 12 hours? Of course you did and you hate it.

Biden is the one who will take offense. How will he answer when someone says "some people on the internet raised more money as a joke then you donated in one year. "

hmmm... a lifetime of service to the American people and his wife started a charity of her own?

Why am I even bothering it's not like you will listen to me, there is nothing I could say in any conceivable universe to change your mind, you hate Biden and you already have your mind made up.

Oh, and you are humorless.

Humorless?! NO, I think it's absolutely hilarious that you raise money in the name of a man who won't donate his own money. The irony! It's Hilarious!.

Hmm... Sounds like you don't understand irony. Or what it means to run your own charity. Or that some people don't deduct all of the charitable contributions they make in a year on their tax form. You aren't required to claim them, you know...

/never claim any charity I give
//our country is broke enough

Some religious folks don't claim it because it may be wrong (based on interpretation and particular faith). As far as Christianity goes:

"But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing." Matt 6:3

The sad thing about this is that people on here will do threads like this to buy Biden a TA, but will they give to Cancer, AIDS, or any other charity? No. But yes, of course, Biden needs a TA.

another one who needs to RTFT.

How the FARK do you know how many hours, dollars and platelet donations I manage a year anyway?

Or, when you rack up 120+ hours a year for Habitat for Humanity, give generously to the American Cancer Society, Children's Home (time and cash there for me), Red Cross (cash and platelets 3X a month), March of Dimes, Easter Seals (time and money) and the other six or so humanitarian things I do every month, every week, all year for the last 25+ years, and provide PROOF, because I CAN, you can threadshiat with your drivel all you want, Until then STFU and GTFO. I'll give MY goddamn money to anything or anyone I want. If it doesn't meet YOUR tiny penis' needs, well too farkin bad.

i910.photobucket.com

Good for you. I put in probably 200 hours a year for HfH, and give equally generously to my local charities. That wasn't the point I was making. The point i was making is that aside from individuals, fark tends to do these kinds for wacky political causes, but rarely for anything else. I'd like to see things get more involved in other groups and charities. That's what I'm saying.

Take that as threadshiatting all you want.

Got it. But that doesn't mean that's all he ever gives. Only what he took the time to PROVE that he gave. Remember the golden rule, over $300.00 must be proven (at least that's what my tax accountant tells me).

I'm not arguing Mr. Biden's charitable nature, only you are. We're having fun by saluting the perception of his down to earth philosophy by giving to charity in honor of that. That is all.

Personally, pretty farking good. Especially when most of us realize this isn't about Biden specifically. It's not for his gain. It's not to make him look better.

It's a fun, grassroots, charity motivated thing that spontaneously erupted from the mind of a fellow farker. Today, instead of sorting derp into the "Troll" and "Disturbed Individual" bins... farkers who spend time on the politics tab did something small that makes the world a better place. Personally, it's stuff like today that makes me fall in love with Fark again... and I've been with the ol' gal for many years (I've got a fark member number lower than the cost of Uncle Joe's Trans Am). So whine all you want, sonny... the rest of us are going to bask in the feeling of doing something that damn near approaches performance art but helps people.

So go start a thread for a good cause. We'd donate. Or maybe not, since it's you. Perhaps make an alt and try it.

If your intention was to promote other threads for charitable causes, here's a thought. As a very old adage states, you get far more flies with honey than vinegar. Your presentation of "that's all I was trying to say" smacks of dishonest attention whoring.
