It's in mine. There must be 1,000 independent app programmers on this site right now, I'm one of them. You tell us what Fark wants and then let us proceed. I'm sure it will be impressive.

Programming isnt a issue. Ive been a code jockey since probably before Drew was born. Its the whole "wait, we have to figure out how to get the money for this? Find and buy the car? Deliver it?" details that give me the heebie-jeebies...

Likewise, I'm sure someone else has pointed out that 20 grand would be better going to the campaign, or better yet a charity.

So I won't be a Debby Downer, and I'll resist the urge to say as much.

And I'm sure that it's mentioned more than once in the thread that the Trans Am will be auctioned off and the proceeds will go to four charities.

Of course you would have known that if you had bothered to RTFA.

FTA: That being said, the internet will still purchase the car and auction it off for charity. All proceeds will be distributed to the Biden Breast Health Initiative, Doctors Without Borders, the Wounded Warrior Project and GLAAD.

I already apologized. If you want blood, I'll go get a razor.

For what? What the hell is wrong with you people?

I f-ing love The Onion...this kills me everytime:

Dressed in a slightly ripped Lynyrd Skynyrd T-shirt, Biden tapped the top of an Icehouse tallboy, cracked it open, and then informed the 20,000 people in attendance that while the economy is no longer hemorrhaging jobs as it was in 2008, nothing, "not even that little trip I took to Thailand in '92," could ever live up to the unforgettable months of June through August 1987, when "the skirts were short, the brews were cold, and you couldn't walk 2 feet without stepping into some grade-A tang."

I could go for some deep dish pizza from Pizza Inn and some table top Joust.

Woah woah woah, hold on there. Appreciating a person who takes the time to be in shape doesn't make someone gay. I jerk off in front of the mirror all the time, and I'm certainly not gay. Jiminy.

Update: received a very nice message from indiegogo congratulating us on our success over the past hours and offering to help in any way they can. They also suggested delineating what we will do with the monies should we not reach our goal. When I get home I will update the pitch stating that all monies in excess of the Trans Am purchase, expenses and delivery will be split amongst the 4 charities pro rata. Should we not receive enough money to buy a Trans Am, the monies will still be split amongst the charities pro rata.

If any of you have suggestions for anything other than this please let me know now.

Cheers guys! Almost at $5,000!!!11

Quick question:
How many of you added TONS of trolls or retards to your Ignore List today because of this thread? I added 21 (my Ignore List is really people Favorited in Grey4 with a tag like "Retarded" "Asshole" or "Troll")

What happened to Bush Sr.'s "Thousand Points Of Light"? Neocon 'baggers seem to have forgotten about that.

But I also added several Green3 Favorites with the tag "Awesome! Part of the givejoethebird.com crew". So that's cool.

I've been watching this thread since it started. First, I was "That's funny!", then I was "Hey, some people seem like they want this to happen...", then I was "Holy crap, they're actually doing this", "Then I was "HOLY CRAP, this is getting picked up by news sources", now I'm "Well, this could actually work out for everybody involved and be a great thing!"

Keep the fire burning under this thing so that by Monday we have proven it's not just an Internet gag, but a real initiative. That way it will get more press, more donations, more TF subscriptions for Drew, and be more likely to get buy-in from the charities, The Onion, Biden and Obama, and whoever else sees the goodness and wants to be a part of it.

If Indiegogo is offering help "in any way they can" then jump on that stat! I'm sure they have a twitter account and they could promote this even more themselves not only on their site but in professional press communication. Hell, I get at least 1 email a week from them highlighting different causes. Get on that!
