Two more notes: whoever is doing this needs to get ahold of the secret service and let them inspect the car/whatever they have to do BEFORE they actually drive it up to DC. The secret service does not understand humor.

Also: next project would be getting Obama an equally suitable car and letting them race.

This woud be a cool thing to throw a few bucks towards, but my company decided to "head in a new direction" last week, and didn't invite me along, so I am in the job market at the moment, and they are dragging their feet on releasing my retirement, and getting the unemployment paperwork in, so this will have to wait.

Good luck though, guys, the actual recipients of the money are good causes.

What makes you and other people like you in this thread think that these things are mutually exclusive? People willing to donate to the charities in this campaign also probably donate to other charities all the time. Fark has a long history of donating to good causes.

From my perspective pretty much any Trans Am will be acceptable, the nicer the better for auctioning off but the end result is the same. Especially if he'll personalize it or authenticate it somehow. It should at least have the bird on the hood but the rest is semantics. You should be able to get a decent 76-81 Trans Am for under $15K. I found a local 79 with the bird, one owner and low miles for $9K. Got a few chips on the spats (fender ground effects) but a pretty good looking car.

You asshole. I have a campaign to help starving children, and you would rather help a freaking animal who should just be put down? Have you no compassion? These kids could perhaps become adults who might sow peace and stability, or find a cure for puppy cancer, something your mutt would never be able to accomplish.

You're just a farking fark.
