The confrontation Thursday between Democratic Reps. Brad Sherman and Howard Berman came amid a nasty campaign for a Los Angeles-area seat.

The lunge by the 57-year-old Sherman appeared to startle Berman, who is 71 and smaller in stature, while the audience hooted and shouted.

That aint shiat

Our political brawls in the houses are pretty much pillow fights. Asians, however, have the most AWESOME brawls on their legislative floors. Its like watching a bench clearing brawl in the MLB, only on a bigger scale.

Also, old people trying to have a fist fight is only marginally less gross than old people farking.

This word "hate", it does not mean what you think it means.

Btw, I guessed democrat because a lot of national level Republicans are wussies.

It was obviously two Democrats. Had it been 2 Republicans, both candidates would have picked out a poor person to do the fighting for them.

Asian legislature fights are hilarious. They bunch up like an MLB brawl, but when you look closely, everybody's throwing sissy slaps at each other.

I think we need more fighting in politics and the real world.

I got the chance to fight a lot when I was younger with friends and family members and then people I just really didn't like.

No one got in trouble no assault charges and no one going into schools shooting up the place.

If there was a forum or place where people could be like, that's it.

Lets go downstairs to the octagon and settle this, I bet we would have a society that respected things a little more.

It would be great in professional life, too.

I know I haven't thought my cunning plan all the way thru and bigger people would want to pick on smaller people but we could give them equalizers.

Not sure.

If they'd said "from what appeared to be a bottle of water", I'd say they were insinuating they weren't sure what was in the bottle, and perhaps he was drinking something other (stronger?) than water. But considering the way they phrased it, I'll guess they weren't sure what kind of bottle it was.

You get "Congressman Brad Sherman" combs in four colors, or bags of "I'm with Howard" cheese corn.

Um. "Brad Sherman and Howard Berman"? Seriously?

"Sherman and Berman, Sherman and Berman, Sherman and Berman. Berman won. And the dog said "Why does Berman always win?" Sherman looked at Berman, and said "Look Berman, a talking dog."

There. Fixed that for you. I don't care what your party affiliation is, if you have to try and make your point in a debate by getting that close to your opponent, you're not going to succeed.

Democrats taking the time to fight each other while a campaign is ongoing, and the crowd cheers them on.

Yup, that's my party.

in their defense, atleast asians don't have a history of a senator beating another on the senate floor over a disagreement over slavery and get reelected.

If two people agree to fight, there are gyms where that can be accomplished. If you're saying people should be able to force you into a fight you don't agree to, that's just stupid. Manny Pacquiao would immediately punch his ineligibility to be President right in its face and divert half our budget to the Philippines.

I'm guessing democrat due to the fact that if it were a republican who had been touched, he would have fallen down, fainted, and pressed charges.

I guessed Democrat because you can tally the number of Republicans in California government without taking your shoes off.

And election reform may not get us a better government, but at least we'll get spectacle. Now that the runoff is between the "top two" in the primary, there'll be a lot more of this internecine battling between members of the same party.

Lorelle: propasaurus: Huh. That's my Rep.

Me too. I've been to one of his town hall meetings, I think he's done a good job.
I didn't like Berman's primary campaign, it seemed to tread on half truths and focus too much on how "bi-partisan" he is. If I wanted someone who's going to vote wih the Republicans, I'd vote for a Republican.
This ari or also omits a key fact: both of these guys are currently string Congressmen; one from he 28th District, one from the 27th. The reason they're going up against each other isn't just because of the state's "top 2" primary system. It's because they've been redistricted into a new 30th District. So no matter who wins, we lose one Democrat in Congress.

Looks:

Dem on Dem violence!
