Echo

I hear the Echo
Of your paws,
As they danced across the floor.

I hear you jump down,
The floor vibrates in my mind.
Thunder feet!

Echo of Fun.

I see you,
Out the corner of my eye.
Will myself not to cry.

Sometimes I feel you,
Curled up into my knee.
Adding warmth.

Echo of Comfort.

You drift through my mind,
Settle on the back of the couch.
Pat my hair.

The door opens on it's own,
As I perch upon the throne.
Draft of curiosity.

Echo of Companionship.

I feel your glorious presence,
Gone, but still lingering,
Incense for my Soul.

Drifting,

Echo of Love.

Doors are no barrier to a cat who wants in.

George would do that when I first brought him home. I kept him in the spare bedroom since he was so little (plus fighting a URI) and every time I put him in there, he crawled right back out. I even tried putting things to block the door. Nope. Finally just gave up.

Brian Blessed's Bastard Boy: mousiebelle: Brian Blessed's Bastard Boy: Mrs. BBBB here. Hubby is in the kitchen making us breakfast this morning, and he left me with the computer. He told me what to do with it, but seeing as how I've never done this before, hopefully I don't screw this up too much. I wanted to thank everyone for all your kind words, encouragement, prayers, and everything else that was sent my way while all this was going on. I know I had it easy, and I honestly cannot believe that honey actually held everything together like he did. He kept telling me that he didn't have a choice, and that when things got bad, he came here on Fark and vented. All of you helped him get through this, and I cannot thank you enough for that. I'm hoping to get on here more often once things calm down around here, but for now, he said to use his screen name and not to screw it up too much. Below is a picture of our first cat, Hattie Marie. She was my baby and a beautiful Russian Blue that turned into a gigantic cat. Sadly we lost her about 7 years ago, but Fat Waffles has taken her role for me. Happy Caturday everyone, I am so very grateful for all of you and all that you have done for my husband, my kids, and for me.

WELCOME HOME!!!! Also, welcome to Caturday :) It's quite the family of crazy people, most of whom have never met, but we are always there for each other! How are you getting along with the new kitteh and ferret? I know BBBB and the kids are taking extra great care of you :) Your family is amazing! **Hugs**

Mrs. BBBB here again. Thank You. Honey is still showing me how to post on here right now. Sake' is the honey's cat. He's definitely not a lap cat, and is extremely vocal. He cries at me every once in a while, but when he's not napping, if honey isn't around, he cries until he finds him. It's driving him nuts because even though I know he loves these critters, he's not one to show it, and he certainly has never had a cat latch itself to him. My ...

Now the next question is - Has he let you touch the grill yet!

Valnt9, Mrs.CDK thanks..it's been on the back burner of my mind since last week. I was thinking about Eli, and then about the other felines who have enriched my life.

When I was veeery sick in field school, I felt my cat Porky, who was living with my folks..jump up onto my bunk, curl up behind my knees and settle in for the night. Then, when he passed, my Mom swore she would hear him jump off the bed upstairs for months...and I must admit I have seen some phantom tails in my time. I think they linger to remind us how very much they loved us.

Made shrimp and crab fettucini alfredo tonight for everyone. Heavy on the garlic of course, but I put garlic on everything. I actually don't mind cooking at all. All those years in the military eating what they decided to make was horrible. Now, any chance I get to cook, I'm all over it.

That was a part of dinner. I cannot in good conscience make Italian without a big salad and garlic bread. I would have to hang up my chef's hat and apron if I made that kind of mistake.
