Ah, yes, fat people... the one group that it's still legal to hate, ridicule, dehumanize, and discriminate against.

you're thinking of smokers. If you make fun of fat people--well, the ones with famous actors for brothers at least--you're a bully.

And if you make fun of a fat newscaster a bunch of fat chicks online will say her weak wimper of a retort was a "verbal smackdown"

KrispyKritter: Elzar: I've already ran 130 miles this month - can't hear you fat farks over the sound of my awesome thinness.

/ Treadmill again in 26 minutes...

I remember there was this fellow who really got the running craze going in America. he wrote a book about it and everything. Jim Fixx.

wikipedia: On July 20, 1984, Fixx died at age 52 of a fulminant heart attack, after his daily run on Vermont Route 15 in Hardwick.

/run a little faster, dooshbag

He had a bad ticker. Such is life. The average runner is a lot healthier than the average non-runner but outliers exist.

Mister Peejay: Smeggy Smurf: I can carry 7 people and still get the same 12mpg. Let's see a Prius move 7 people in comfort.

Why would you want to take 7 people with you to where you're going?

At any given time, I can't think of 7 people I would want to be around.

As a rule of thumb, any time you see a minivan or an SUV, it's because the driver is a heifer so freakin' large that he or she can't wedge themselves into a normal sized car. Well, they could if you greased 'em up real good with butter or something, maybe

/there are three reasons to drive a truck: you're a contractor, you're a farmer, or you're a fatass

Don't forget Nazis, you can still hate, ridicule, dehumanize, and discriminate against them as well.

And child molesters. Don't forget the child molesters.

You know who I hate? Fat smoking Nazi child molesters.

/full of self-loathing

Why do we have to tell people this. Also dont buy a used car from obese people. Everything is squashed & broken. Seats, shocks, frame......

In most cases it takes more energy to move more mass. Does anybody seriously want to dispute that?

Wait wait wait....

You mean vehicles that carry more weight need to expend more fuel?

Thanks, Ric.

Fun with numbers:

According to the googles, a Prius weighs approximately 3,000 lbs. Per the same source, a 1969 Dodge Charger weighed around 3,700 lbs. Question: do you weigh more than 700 pounds? What was the point of this article?

Just for grins some time I want to grab one of those electric carts at Walmart. See what it's like to drive one first hand.

I imagine it's great fun to slowly chase people around, run them over and bang into stuff.

I'd also like to park sideways in the aisle and block everybody's passage. I imagine it's quite the power trip.

But then I"d have to go to Walmart.

If you're 40 pounds overweight because you prefer ice cream to hiking, ok, whatever. If you're fat enough that your mileage is dropping because of it you might want to consider dieting.

Charlie Freak: I thought it was just a stereotype, but I had not seen one of those used by anyone younger than 70 until I went to Florida last month. Holy shiat, they are everywhere!

So it was basically this then?

37prime.com

Also I'm guessing you've never been to Alabama or Mississippi.

serial_crusher: Ride a bike to work. Lower your fuel spending and stop being fat, all at the same time.

Not to mention energy spending on cooling you sweaty body, and the energy it takes to make your huge clothing to cover your blubber. And all the ground water your wasting by eating five burgers daily. And all of the fuel and energy it takes to ship and prepare that food. Extra stored energy wastes a lot of other energy.

Strange, I thought modern cars were getting heavier as well, with sound deadening insulation, safety structures, air bags, and creature comforts that they didn't have decades ago.
