1) It's not hard to see that the car in front of you stalled, and honking at them isn't going to get the car started.

2) Busting your knuckles on someone's car is no way to get your girlfriend's car started, no matter how annoying they are.

I never heard of this "punch buggy" crap until my kids started doing it out of the blue one day.

I'm asking myself WTF did you kids learn this shait?

Way we play:

New/Newer VW Bugs = 1 hit
Old Style VW Bugs (Classic) = 2 hits
Newer (80's boxy style) VW Bus = 2 hits
Old Style VW Bus = 3 hits

If it has wood paneling, add another hit.
If it is a convertible with the top down, add another hit.

Have to call the color (so you don't get confused).
If you see a car lot, one hit per lot (if you see a VW graveyard, all bets are off).
If the opposing party calls another one before you hit them, it nullifies your hit and they get to hit you. Any penalties (called on a vehicle that wasn't a bug) are two hits to the person who fouled.

TFA is a bit confusing.

"the suspect's wife's car stalled.." - so the suspect is her husband?

"..driver behind her in a pick-up truck started yelling and beeping.." - so her husband was behind her in a pickup truck yelling at her?

"Alden Haughton was accused of jumping into the back of the pickup truck and punching out the rear windows of the truck"

so there's this woman broken down in the intersection, her husband is behind her yelling and beeping the horn, then some guy jumps in the back of his truck and breaks his window?

VW themselves debuted a series of commercials a while back with people hitting each other every time they saw a VW vehicle pass by. You hit each other when you see a farking beetle not whenever you see a freaking car.. Thats why its called Slug Bug, thats why its called Punch Buggy.

Hopefully he'll be her ex-hubby soon, if he gets that mad at a guy honking his horn she's sure to have felt those fists before herself. And at least honking guy followed her directly to the police station...

Headline plus article not too cohesive... the woman's car stalled with hubby in passenger seat, guy in truck behind lays on horn, so hubby does the only reasonable thing and jumps out of wifes car, jumps in the bed of honking guys truck, punches out windows then runs away with his wife still in stalled car. Then stalled car starts again so wife and honking truck guy drive to station...
