I don't think it will happen, but I may pee myself if Ryan storms off stage when challenged on his budget. Unlike Obama, Biden's not a pussy.

This one's actually going to be challenging for Biden.

No surprise this is going on the same time as football... Thankfully, I don't give a rat's ass about either team.

I also don't care for the Steelers or the Titans.

That is awesome.

This will be very different than the Biden-Palin debate.
Ryan isn't good with specifics but good with rhetoric.
Biden is great with stories and connections, but not good about appealing to the masses.

Hmmmm.

I remember back in 2008 many experts were saying that it was going to be tricky for Biden when debating Palin because she is a woman. They were saying he should not attack her viciously because it could cost them some female independent voters.

This time around, Biden can unleash everything he has on Ryan without worrying about possible backlash for being too tough on Ryan.

He appeals to ordinary folk, but he also talks over a significant amount of people.
The people he talks over want platitudes, catch phrases and buzzwords.

That's a speech not a debate. I feel that he comes across as wordy and heavily technical at times.

So is Romney. Part of the reason, I'm sure, why Obama was flummoxed during the debate. I'm sure in his head he was thinking, "what? Seriously? Didn't you just recently come out OPPOSITE of that?" Couple that with his anniversary and the shiat going on in Syria, it's no surprise Obama got the beat down.

He better get his game face on SOON.

It seems you've convinced yourself that Biden can't possibly be a populist despite a well earned reputation of exactly that and whatever other inconvenient facts get in the way of your own version of Biden. Why you've decided to create your own version of Biden, I have no clue.

I'm basing it off reviews and comments that I have heard of Biden.
I'm not saying he isn't a populist. Lots of people like him.
I also have heard comments that he is too wordy, he doesn't get "to the point", he "goes into detail like I'm a child" etc.
As one person said "every time he does a speech it sounds like he is trying to do a straight talk from the VP, which just comes across as condescending."
Ryan is really good at making short quotable soundbite statements on the fly, and IMO far better than Biden.
And typically in these debates the "winner" is thought to be the person with the best soundbites or who can quickly and succinctly show how the other guy is wrong.
The succinct part is what I think Biden will have to focus on.

I look forward to Joe having an opportunity to utter the phrase "Suck it, Ryan".

"You're running mate said a lot of bullshait things, Paul"

"I don't know what you're talking about, Mr. Biden"

"Well, let's refresh your memory, shall we? Here's a list"

My predictions on the night:

1. Ryan will try to use lots of numbers. He'll gloss them quickly, Biden will challenge him, and the fact-checkers will go ballistic, but most people won't care.
2. Biden will attack Ryan heavily. He'll respond as vaguely as possible.
3. Ryan will be almost as buttoned down as Obama was the other night, since he doesn't need a win right now. He will play to not lose.
4. Biden won't make any gaffes, but the right will dig deep and manufacture 2 or 3 anyway.
5. Biden will win, but the margin won't be as big as it was for the 1st Presidential debate, and even if it is, the right won't care.
6. If Biden wins, the polls will hold where they are now, and everything will pause until the next Presidential debate. If Biden loses, Obama is in deep, deep trouble.

Don't forget that this debate will also cover foreign issues, which Ryan has not only very little experience with, but also has only a handful of platitudes to utilize. Biden will have the upper hand by a significant amount for those.

Ryan's insistence on exaggerating his personal background is going to cost him. He's one 'oh...I hope you estimate the cost of ACA better than you estimate your marathon times' away from losing a LOT of credibility. I think he's going to play solid defense: be polite, be charming, avoid confrontation and controversy, and make Biden risk looking like a bully if he tries to come after him.
