As much as I think Kim Dotcom is a douchebag, I hope he's successful because I really despise the RIAA and MPAA.

Piracy is not theft, its copyright infringement, they are two completely different things.

Only by semantics, you are getting something for free, that you would normally have to pay for, that's stealing.

No it's not, it's making a copy. In order to steal something you have to take something away.

You are taking away potential revenues from the artist.

I wouldn't of bought it anyway, so there is no revenues lost. Besides, i am doing the entertainment business a favor, i would of never purchased my last CDs if it wasn't for downloading a few of their songs on the internet.

It doesn't matter whether you would of purchased it or not. You can't afford a Ferrari, so you wouldn't have purchased that anyways, so would you steal a car?

What don't you understand?? Copying is not theft. If you're asking me if I could copy a Ferrari, you're god dam right I would copy a Ferrari. I would copy Ferraris for everyone I knew!

So you would steal for your friends and family at someone elses loss?

You don't farking get it, i'm not talking to you anymore. You can't understand the difference between two simple english words, so you obviously aren't smart enough to converse with. farking moran.

Whatever criminal. Get a conscious.

fark you

Great Janitor: I think I just heard US Authorities shout " Challenge accepted!"

All they really need to do is gradually flood the site with virus-infested MP3s and it won't matter if Kimmy is beaming to us from the Moon--no sane person will ever visit his site.

/so much time wasted on setting up detection and evasion code...don't mess with the castle walls, catapult some plague infested bodies into the grounds and ride off for a few months. Victory!

If it's in planet Earth, it can be shut down.

Also: Attention Whore vs. Soul-sucking companies? I'm gonna have to side with the Attention whore. RIAA and the MPAA can suck it.

If you're not in the U.S. and not a citizen of the U.S. then you shouldn't have to give a shiat what U.S. law is. What's the point of having different sovereign countries if you can't completely ignore the ones you don't choose to live in.

This. Artists aren't hurt by file sharing, only traditional distribution cartels are.

I find it amusing that no one seems to care his house was raided by paramilitary forces at the behest of the U.S. government on New Zealand soil. A guy that ran a file sharing site was treated like a terrorist that killed hundreds of people. Absolutely astounding.

Fascism: This is what it looks like.

90% of the revenue will go to the artists

If true... good. The guy may be a sleaze but compared to buckets of porcine anal slime that run the entertainment industry he's a saint and a savior.

1's and 0's were free to the public last time I checked.

I don't like dotcom but I hope his new business venture is huge cause fark the RIAA and MPAA, they want to make it illegal to resell your own physical property now, what's next.

Pretty sure I just heard the FBI mutter something about 'Challenge Accepted'

Kim should go talk to those guys from BornTrade.com/ BornTrade.net / BornTradeJersery.com/ etc etc etc. They might have some suggestions.

Simply not true, not in the slightest.

Look, I'm not coming to a concert unless I can hear the studio version for free.

Yeah; you should definetly tell the United States where to look for your little file sharing system. They'll never find it that way!

It's getting to the point that; you'd need to base your file sharing operation in china or maybe on the moon for it not to get taken down.

So hard to decide who to root for. I'll go with Dotcom and then take a shower.
