With so many people unemployed here (thank you, Barry...) and willing to work on the cheap under the table, Ohio is a absolute bargain in terms of child care costs. Of course, you actually have to *find* a job here to be a working a mom....

I'm ashamed at how hard I laughed at that.

Yeah damn Obama and his whole the state has below national average unemployment and stupid saved 800,000 jobs with the auto bailout........

Ohio used to have some good strip clubs then some party (guess who) came along and passed stupid laws so now no lap dances and I don't think there are any full nude ones either. (that guess who party did nothing to crack down on male (R)eviews......go figure)

The Cincinnati-Middletown thing comes from something called a Metropolitan Statistical Area. It comes from the way the Bureau of Labor Statistics aggregates data on metropolitan areas.

Here is the BLS data at a glance on said MSA.

Yes, it may seem absurd, but the BLS considers Middletown to be part of Greater Cincinnati, along with Northern Kentucky and SE Indiana.

More on MSAs

Cincinnati's MSA is particularly weird due to the presence of the three states and the odd patchwork quilt of municipalities which would have been annexed by other larger cities in other areas, much like Columbus, OH annexed all that farm land years ago.

Ohio does have a lot of working moms. Ohio does have a lot of strip clubs. The missing ingredient is a reason in the damn world you'd want to see these women naked.

Oh, and I guess it is actually the OMB, not BLS, but BLS and others use MSAs too.

Now, where is my alphabet soup?

You'd want to leave too if you're neighbors were Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and West Virginia.

I've been to strip clubs in 37 states. Ohio has the worst. Full stop. End of story.

NKY (covington, newport, bellevue, dayton and ludlow) is part of the city. far more than places like mason or blue ash in OH.
